Here i will do it for him.

Even a delusional sociopath such as yourself would have a tough time convincing people that the "war on poverty" was successful when a record number of Americans are currently on food stamps.

Now please point us to the time when we almost got rid of poverty.

Simple google search brought me to this article from 2010, and its even worse now.

Food-stamp tally nears 40 million, sets record

(Reuters) - Nearly 40 million Americans received food stamps -- the latest in an ever-higher string of record enrollment that dates from December 2008 and the U.S. recession, according to a government update.

Unsurprisingly that you have a thinking problem. I never said it succeeded, I said it was succeeding up until it was stopped. Intelligent people understand that the job was left unfinished. Moreover, not only was it left unfinished, it was dismantled with crap like unchecked illegal immigration, downgrading of public schools and a whole plethora of plutocratic actions designed to damage the middle class in America.

    What a delusional ludicrous statement.

Not surprising from a guy who admits buying moving averages from a vendor though. :D

We keep importing poverty, so no wonder we keep getting more of it. I couldn't help but notice that the country highest on the "social justice" scale, Iceland, has the least diversity. Frankly, given the absolute importance of diversity to a successful society (all the professors and media heads tell me so) I don't know how they do it.

But they will have to live awhile to see this one. When they can say, back in my day......they will understand what you are trying to tell them.

    "Members of Congress:

Liberals have a long history of turning bad ideas into failed, destructive laws.

And I’m standing with The Heritage Foundation and concerned citizens nationwide and respectfully urging Congress to stop the madness:

Nibbling around the edges of out-of-control federal spending that is rooted in failed liberal programs of the past will NOT save America from bankruptcy.
Liberal social welfare programs of the past have FAILED to relieve poverty, and building on them now will only perpetuate a culture of dependence that undermines personal responsibility.
Federal command and control of the private sector ALWAYS results in unintended consequences, and new layers of government regulation will stifle economic recovery.

The Heritage Foundation has identified hundreds of billions of dollars that can be cut out of the federal budget immediately—and trillions of dollars that can be saved over time by dismantling entire bureaucracies like Obamacare and reforming bloated and wasteful entitlement programs.

Congress still has time and opportunity to change the nation’s course, avert disaster, and begin rebuilding an America where freedom, opportunity, prosperity, and civil society flourish.

Again, I urge Congress to stop the liberal ideas that have been dragging America down for decades and to begin governing based on the conservative principles of free enterprise, limited government, individual freedom, and strong national defense."

"Have you had enough of failed liberal ideas?

If $16 trillion hasn’t made a dent in the poverty rate, isn’t it kind of ridiculous to think another $10.3 trillion will solve the problem?

And if President Obama’s $800 billion stimulus didn’t create jobs, isn’t it ridiculous to think another $450 billion “jobs plan” will do the trick?

    Of course it is.

President Obama and his liberal cohorts in Congress, however, don’t see a problem with recycling failed liberal ideas from the past and spending the country into oblivion to enact them."

You can't know it's a failed idea until you define success, and/or know what poverty would look like if we're weren't trying at all, like one of those lousy banana republics, or know what it looks like in the more socialistic societies.
