    I did not.

I voted for a man that has sewn chaos.

While I support the premise of many things he's done, the manner in which he's done them has struck me as quite short sighted and absent of real substantive analysis - thus we have chaos, backtracking and uncertainty abounds in nearly everything we do in this country today.

We have a country with some problems he created and others he's fixed. If he had lost the election, we wouldn't have much of a country at all by now.

    Trump is Xi's little biatch.

Trump humiliatingly climbs down from 145 per cent Chinese tariff after warning US shelves would be empty in weeks
Donald Trump has made the decision to halt his trade war with China, despite some of the outlandish accusations he made about the US economy in recent weeks

Let's get into the basics. Only 14.7% of China's export trade is with the U.S. Many of China's manufactured exports can easily find other markets. Effective suspension of trade with the U.S. will hurt China but it is not a blow which will cause wide-scale unemployment or other issues in China. Certainly a few smaller manufacturers in China focused on the U.S market will go out of business but most will adapt, endure a few months of lower sales, and move on to exporting to other countries.

When it comes to imports, there is nothing imported by China from the U.S. that cannot be sourced from somewhere else. This includes soybeans and other crops. As well as any other natural resources.

Bottom line: A suspension of trade with China due to high tariffs will hurt the U.S. much worse than it will hurt China.

It appears that tariffs negotiations with China are at a complete standstill. Of course, the Chinese position is basically "The U.S. needs totally eliminate these improper excess tariffs immediately, otherwise we have nothing to talk about".

Scott Bessent says U.S.-China trade negotiations are 'stalled'
Just weeks after a dramatic tariff rollback, negotiations are at a standstill. And as legal uncertainty mounts, 83% of CEOs expect a recession
