Actually it is the other way around. You always find ways to criticize the government, no matter how efficient and well the government carries out its functions. You remain ignorant of the many good things that government does for you. The government is a mixed bag. It does things that you don't want it to do, but it also does things, that if you were aware of them, you'd be completely in favor of them. Ignorance is bliss. The U.S. is a large nation with a large population and a large economy. Why would you expect there would not be occasional corruption or unwise use of tax money? But to say that the government always finds ways to be corrupt and waste tax money is a gross exaggeration.
Did I hit a nerve? Do you work for our bloated government? The USA does many great things for its citizens and I don't deny that. It is also very wasteful in its spending, I would just prefer that they waste money on something that interests me. Hey wait a second, shouldn't you be busy being made to look foolish by Futurecurrents instead of talking to me?
Yes, history does matter. You realize, of course, that you are perfectly describing Trump's modus operandi...
Sorry, I was describing Obama's modus operandi. It is possible Trump will behave similarly while in the White House. Even probable. But he's not gotten there yet. Obama, on the other hand, has shown that for the last 8 years.
I don't care about his career. I care about his Presidency. Just like I don't care what the hell Obama does with the rest of his life, and that I only cared about his Presidency.
I guess we'll see. The difference is, if/when he behaves as you claim he will, I will be right there with you calling him out on it. The last 8 years of Obama's similar behavior heard nothing from you but the sound of silence - or in some cases - defense of said behavior.
