The tunnels at Fordow are 90 meters deep. The GBU-57 used can penetrate through 60 meters of rock at most. This means the explosion from these bombs were not inside the tunnel complex. The centrifuges at Fordow, which are sensitive to external shock, were most likely completely disabled by the attack. Even before the attack, many military analysts outlined the intent of the attack would be to disable the centrifuges so Iran would not be able to enrich more uranium. Any attack would be unlikely to cave-in or destroy the tunnels; nor would it take out existing enriched uranium. It is not a surprise that the GBU-57 bombs did not destroy Fordow and only damaged it. I don't understand why Trump and his cronies immediately started pushing the narrative that they totally obliterated the complex; this is simply unlikely. The attack probably setback the Iranian nuclear program by many months because now they need to obtain or create a large number of new IR-1 centrifuges to replace the disabled ones. Of course, the problem remains of what happened to Iran's existing stockpile of enriched uranium. Common sense would dictate that the US and Israel develop their own hypersonic ballistic missiles to even the playing field.
