Broad economic sanctions have done little to damage Russia's income from energy exports, according to Finnish think tank the Centre for Research on Energy and Clean Air. It estimates Russia has made €158bn (£136bn) from surging fossil fuel prices during the six-month invasion, with EU imports accounting for more than half of that.

EU and US should simply buy oil and NG from Russia rather than
    from the non-oil producing country.

Now Russia is very rich because of surging oil and gas prices.

It does not matter. US and Europe still paying full market price on the price of Russian oil and natural gas. India and China acting as the middle man and making a lot of monies in the process. And if OPEC succeeds in cutting oil supplies, oil prices will remain high.

Impossible? Can't happen, oh wait, where have we heard that before. Right, Iran-Contra affair....saying one thing, doing another. And again Europe has made a fool of themselves following the US lead in isolating Russia. Now the US elites have Europe exactly where they want them. Begging for pittance.

America is not buying Russia oil from India as that would violate sanctions. But it does appear that there are a small amount of secondary oil products being imported to America due to difficulty of tracking resource flows; for example, single use plastic made in India that are using Russia oil as source.

IT sure could work out that way.
But TX Tea is $84\ 82 today; multiple bear markets + reduced demand can apply\downtrend
    to oil also.
Without going into all the ways to measure a trend\ its well off from all time Hi of $150 area
Me i make sure to buy less gas when the gas price goes up\ when possible.
Actually i could make a bull uptrend case for oil but I am not doing that; good down move on negative oil price\ i never figured that also . Thanks

It's really hard to believe that US would go all the way to India to buy oil when it itself is the third largest oil producer in the world and it's got Canada right next door to buy oil from if it really wants to buy oil. And India is a tiny oil producer; it's hard to imagine it would have all the infrastructure to transport oil all the way to Europe even if Europe buys oil from India. It would be more believable if Europe is buying oil from Saudi Arabia or other Middle Eastern nations because they are right there and I can see all the Middle Eastern countries wanting to make more money at the expense of Russia as there have been ongoing rivalries between Russia and the Middle Eastern countries in terms of oil production.

This to me feels more like a psychological tactic of discord-sowing within all the allied nations to create mistrust among each other thereby weakening the resolve against Russia.

YOU are most likely right. One gentleman in a position to know \said the KGB has a budget of $100 million for propaganda.[THAT would help explain the US talking snake media hatred + negative notes against capitalism]
Putin is the worst kind of a liar, he said '' a bear market is a failure of capitalism'' No its not; a bear market is just a down cycle.:caution::caution:

Oil is oil. Why do not buy it from India if the price is right?
