I don't really experience any grief over anything you say futurecurrents. You are willing to state things like "the US produces more CO2 than any other country" when it is completely untrue. One explanation for that intellectual dishonesty is that you hate the USA. It makes complete sense. You think the USA should be punished for its industrial revolution. So, when did you start hating your country? Was it when you realized that you were just going to be an air-conditioner installer despite having completed a degree in "Environmental Science"? Did you expect a corner office at Rand and a six figure salary? Tragic.
I see the problem here. You can't read. I said that the US HAS produced more CO2 than any other country. Unlike you, I know the facts about AGW and I know China is CURRENTLY producing more CO2 than the US. BTW,, Why do you hate science and rational thought so much? When did it start? Was it after you realized being a rabid rightie and believing in science and rational thought were mutually exclusive? LOL
Wait a minute. Now you're saying that the world is not even warming? BTW. You STILL haven't answered. Is CO2 a greenhouse gas or not? 377, please inform jem that indeed the world is rapidly warming and the rate is increasing. He seems to be stuck.
fc stop acting like a clown troll hypocrite and deal with facts. a. when you disputed the fact the world stopped warming the last 16 years .. you produced information and data... which confirmed this story. that the "warming" trend you quoted... was not outside the margin for error for the study. b. show us where 98 percent of scientists say man made CO2 is causing the warming. c. I already answered your question on past threads. whether its a green house gas or not... is independent of whether it is causing the warming. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencet...-report-quietly-released--chart-prove-it.html Global warming stopped 16 years ago, reveals Met Office report quietly released... and here is the chart to prove it The figures reveal that from the beginning of 1997 until August 2012 there was no discernible rise in aggregate global temperatures This means that the âpauseâ in global warming has now lasted for about the same time as the previous period when temperatures rose, 1980 to 1996 By DAVID ROSE PUBLISHED: 16:42 EST, 13 October 2012 | UPDATED: 08:59 EST, 16 October 2012 Comments (958) Share The world stopped getting warmer almost 16 years ago, according to new data released last week. The figures, which have triggered debate among climate scientists, reveal that from the beginning of 1997 until August 2012, there was no discernible rise in aggregate global temperatures. This means that the âplateauâ or âpauseâ in global warming has now lasted for about the same time as the previous period when temperatures rose, 1980 to 1996. Before that, temperatures had been stable or declining for about 40 years.
I'm not even sure what you are arguing anymore. I think you just playing around, having fun avoiding seeing or at least admitting the truth. There is no "plateau". There is noise within a strong trend upward. That's all. I understand you are a lawyer and not a scientist, but this is pretty basic stuff. Here's another question. Can a line be drawn between two points on a chart and not represent trend? Please answer directly.
"I already answered your question on past threads. whether its a green house gas or not... is independent of whether it is causing the warming."....jem So I'm assuming this means yes? I want to make sure before we proceed further.
I don't know how to present more evidence than I already have that roughly 98% of the world's publishing climatologists, all the world's science organizations and the CEO of Exxon believe that most of the warming we are seeing is because of man's emitting of CO2. It's been posted above, as has been the refutation of the 14 year "plateau" bs. That you can't or won't understand these things can not be helped by anything I do or say. You are obviously not interested in seeing the truth but only in arguing.
there is no current warming... did you understand this... when I quoted your quote back to you... ------ http://www.guardian.co.uk/environme...g-stopped-wrong "The Skeptical Science temperature trend calculator can be used to test this question. The trend in the HadCRUT4 global surface temperature dataset since 1997 is 0.084 ± 0.152°C per decade (although we have not yet updated the HadCRUT4 data, the GISS and NCDC datasts show a similar warming trend since 1997). While the trend is not statistically significant, the central value is positive, meaning the average surface temperature has most likely warmed over this period." The "warming trend" is not statistically significant. get it. no warming can be found in the data.
you have to kidding us with that bullshit. one... that study said nothing about CO2 causing the warming. I tend to think we are warming... and I suspect man contributes to it too. But, I know I do not know... I also know CO2 accumulation is most likely a by product of the warming. It could be the cows we are eating or the fact so many of us live near the temperature monitors or that we cut down forrests. I also know the earth cycles through warming and cooling. == finally. your studied was slanted. only 1/3 responded. 82 percent of the respondents thought man was contributing to the warming. your 98 percent number is contrived bullshit.
Just read this If you were engaging in social media this past weekend, you might have found an October 13, 2012 article suggesting that global warming stopped 16 years ago. The article is here. David Rose of the Daily Mail wrote it. The article says the UK Met Office sent out a news release release saying its data showed that global warming has stopped and that there is no âdiscernible rise in aggregate global temperatures.â It now comes to light that this information is not true. The UK Met Office did not release a statement suggesting that âglobal warming stopped 16 years ago.â The UK Met Office, in fact, disavows any association with Mr. Rose and his article and says it was never asked any questions regarding the actual science of climate change and global warming by Mr. Rose. On October 14, 2012 â one day after Mr. Roseâs article appeared in the Daily Mail â the UK Met Office released its own blog post discussing the issues with the Daily Mail article. Itâs very interesting reading. The Daily Mail article carried this headline: Global warming stopped 16 years ago, reveals Met Office report quietly released⦠and here is the chart to prove it The chart that supposedly âproves itâ is below. snip So ⦠it is still warming after all. In fact, in a report released by the National Climatic Data Center this week, global land and ocean surface temperatures for the month of September 2012 tied with 2005 as the warmest September on record, at 0.67 degrees Celsius (1.21 degrees Fahrenheit) above the 20th century average of 15.0 degrees Celsius (59.0 degrees Fahrenheit). It appears that the rate of warming has slowed slightly at this time; in other words, at the moment, itâs not increasing in warmth as fast as it was. Temperatures remain at all-time highs since records began, however, and our warming climate continues to break its own records. Bottom line: On October 13, 2012, the Daily Mail posted an article crediting the UK Met Office with saying that global warming stopped 16 years ago. The article went viral this week. One day later, however, the UK Met Office disavowed the Daily Mail article, saying it did not say global warming had stopped and was not contacted by the articleâs author. According to the UK Met Office and tens of thousands of other scientists worldwide, global temperatures are still rising. full article.... http://earthsky.org/earth/uk-met-office-responds-global-warming-did-not-stop-16-years-ago you still have not answered directly, is CO2 a greenhouse gas?
