US sanctions hit Europe very hard

  1. Oh yes, I agree with that. Of course they'll need to solve that problem.

I was responding to this part:

It just that that part isn't true. Europeans are, by and large, in favour of US sanctions against Russia, which align with their own sanctions against Russia. To say otherwise is false. (To say it shouldn't be so, is simply to express an opinion.)

Don't worry the West will figure out a way. Many of the innovations stem from desperate needs. The West including the evil evil USA will invent a form of sustainable alternative energy and then China will copy it after stealing it and use it to grow even stronger and finally dominate the world. There you go. New world orders. Everybody is happy. LOL

It is that movie, along with Wargames that make me have to believe we will not have a nuclear exchange anywhere on the planet, because surely the leaders of these unstable countries have seen them. They somehow see everything else the West produces.

That's just not true at all. But US has it easier as its isolated from the non-monetary consequences. Many countries have taken 6-7% of refugees in relation to their population. Imagine US took in 20 million people in 8 months and had to provide housing, schooling, health care etc. It's a massive cost from every aspect, it's more straining on the local population than just giving funding.

Unless you're trolling on the level I don't understand, you're severely misinformed and not understanding that energy is very much global. Re, LNG terminals in Europe, some are already near-ready to take deliveries and others are months away from completion. Worst thing that can happen is buying Middle Eastern gas which is plentiful. Only question is price.

One of the biggest effects of Russia's current expansionism is the drastic acceleration of movement in Europe away from oil-based energy. This in the mid and long term is beneficial to Europe. So, they have Putin to thank for that. America should do the same.
