No he's doing this on purpose, either because he's not doing so well in his life in Germany and he blames the US for all his trouble and wants to destroy the USA or just trolling for fun to generate viewership.

  3. Really.
I thought they are all reverting to burning firewood.
But whatever. All the he-said-she-said will stop within 3 or 4 months.
At which time, the EU citizens can reflect on living in the dark and in the cold.
    The old fashioned way.
Or they can get friendly with the Russians.
Seems they will never get any energy from the U.S.
The new LNG terminals are nightmares when it comes to permitting.
    EPA, etc
    Can't be too safe.

Seems you have a trading problem (You are not magnanimous)
Do you want to talk about it?

China doesn't care. It's for global food supply for the evil evil USA and its allies. China is now an adversary to the evil evil USA and its allies who have been poisoned in the mind by USA's propaganda. LOL It doesn't mind sacrificing itself to help brother Russia in its efforts against the imperialist West especially when it means weakening the West to make it easier for it to attack Taiwan in its own war efforts.

  7. Yes really.

This report is stale (June 2022) but it was the top search hit and I'm not going to waste time digging. I've seen similar numbers more recently and I've seen them from a variety of sources.

I believe you're right that a difficult winter will shift the numbers a bit, but not like you imply. Europeans, broadly speaking, have long memories of history and are willing to make sacrifices where they believe it is necessary.

A few key figures from the link:

~80% of Europeans support sanctions against Russia
52% have a positive image of the EU, highest in at least 15 years
65% see EU membership as a good thing
Russia is seen positively by 10%, down from 30% in 2018
~60% see the defence of common European values such as freedom and democracy as a priority - even if that were to affect prices and the cost of living. They say this even at the same time that ~60% of Europeans are not confident their life will continue unchanged and ~40% of Europeans say they are already experiencing an impact on their standard of living.

  8. You forgot to mention the vague talk of a nuclear exchange.
That is really nasty stuff, just to discuss.
Reagan took it off the table almost 40 years ago.
    Now it's back on.
    No idea why.
There was a made for TV movie in early 1980s.
"The Day After" , Jason Robard
It's about NUKEs hitting the U.S.
I saw it that night. I almost had to vomit.

  9. Well, they are just going to have to figure out a way to get energy.
Not like this is any kind of surprise.
Politicians throw so much BS around, no point in slicing/dicing.
    Just see what happens.
