Bush and the Republican Party has sold them out. The initiative, which draws heavily on legislation already introduced in Congress by three Arizona Republicans, Sen. John McCain and Rep. Jeff Flake and Rep. Jim Kolbe, has two central components. It would provide a mechanism by which some U.S. businesses would be able to import an unlimited number of low-wage foreign workers, and it would allow most of the roughly 10 million illegal aliens already in the United States a means by which they (and their extended families) would be able to remain legally -- and permanently -- in the United States.

You didn't get mad when over 10 billion dollars in cash just disappeared in Iraq. You didn't get mad when you found out we were torturing people. You didn't get mad when Bush embraced trade and outsourcing policies that shipped 6 million American jobs out of the country. You didn't get mad when the government was illegally wiretapping Americans. You didn't get mad when we didn't catch Bin Laden. You didn't get mad when Bush rang up 10 trillion dollars in combined budget and current account deficits. You didn't get mad when you saw the horrible conditions at Walter Reed. You didn't get mad when we let a major US city... New Orleans... drown. You didn't get mad when we gave people who had more money than they could spend, the filthy rich, over a trillion dollars in tax breaks. You didn't get mad with the worst 8 years of job creations in several decades. You didn't get mad when over 200,000 US Citizens lost their lives because they had no health insurance. You didn't get mad when lack of oversight and regulations from the Bush Administration caused US Citizens to lose 12 trillion dollars in investments, retirement, and home values. Hmmm....You finally got mad when a black man was elected President and decided that people in America deserved the right to see a doctor if they are sick. Yes, illegal wars, lies, corruption, torture, job losses by the millions, stealing your tax dollars to make the rich richer, and the worst economic disaster since 1929 are all okay with you, but helping fellow Americans who are sick... Oh, Hell No!!

I believe the only amnesty program for illegal immigrants that the US has ever had was brought into existence by Ronald Reagan.
There is nothing more educational than name calling and throwing insults. Good thing this is not face to face. I would not want to have somebody stomp my head. I am sure this is what the Founding fathers meant when they spoke of having a healthy discourse. I am all for exchanging ideas but will not lower myself to the kind of discourse you are basking in. Using facts and normal dialogue will get you nowhere. We should get rid of "all socialism" that exists in the US and go back to the times where people worked 6 days a week 10 to 12 hours a day, without Social Security, free education and unions. Those were the days!

Respectfully, let's not confuse a one-time compassionate compromise with liberals on this issue as being responsible for several decades of Democratic entitlement creation - literaly hundreds of pieces of legislation both State and Federal. And who is suing in federal court now to try and prevent our own governments laws from being enforced? It surely is not conservatives.
