Traderfut. All I said was that women could not vote in ARAB countries. Or hold office. Muslim countries are not all Arab. Golda Meier was a long time ago, but at least it happened. When will there be a female leader in any Arab country? Looks like NEVER unless things change dramatically. Hard to hold office in a place in which you cannot even vote. The US did have a female vice presidential candidate. And many many female members of congress. And I have no idea what you mean by American women being treated badly in some American cities. Women have the same rights all over America. There is no difference between one city and another in this county. MD
Women can vote in all of them except saudia US best friend... Even in Iran they vote... I forgot Pakistan that once was a democracy, enabled women to vote and even had for a long period of time a woman prime minister. Bush belives that Musharaf like sharon is a man of peace... Basically US friends are people that are not very human rights and democracy friendly...
Iran is not an Arab nation. Neither is Pakistan. You are telling me that women can vote in Jordan? Lebanon? Syria? Iraq? Kuwait? (I admit I do not know for sure about all of these places). I know they get to vote in Egypt. So hopefully progress is being made. But they have been able to vote there for almost 50 years. In Saudi Arabia, women are not even considered citizens. Do you know what the "Black Laws" are? And Saudi Arabia is NOT the best friend of the US.
If the USA wants to fight the true terrorists it should bomb the living daylights out of Saudi Arabia & Pakistan fanatics... I would sign up for such a war and would happily shoot the fanatical asses off of the Saudi and Pakistani lunatics... I would be 100% behind a US-led war against the Saudis and the Pakistani nutters... these are the true scumbags who deserve to be bombed in large dosages... but of course the USA won't bomb its puppets (in fact it will protect its puppets from attack by the victims of the puppet terrorists), it will only bomb those whose resources / geopolitical routes for pipelines it currently doesn't control... the double standards of US foreign policy are disgusting...
marcD- i suppose my assumptions about how you are frustrated and constantly lose money trading really hit home, didn't they?? you really took a lot of time to try to get back at me because you feel defeated and can't succeed while a kid half your age is doing better than you and always will as long as we both trade. i would kick your ass in the street, but you are a coward. you can't trade profitably, you are naive about this industry. so, i don't need to waste my time with you- looks like you REALLY spent some time ranting there, didn't you? get a life you.
yes they vote in all the countries you mentioned except Koweit I think.. Lately they were elections In Morocco and 15% of women were elected to go to parliament. Not a big deal but things are evolving.. and of course yes Iran and pakistan are not arab but muslim countries..
Smokey, First off, I admit that I am learning to trade. So what is the big deal? Everyone starts from the beginning. And I can afford to lose in the pursuit of learning how to trade successfully. Now as far as everything else, what in the world makes you think you know anything about me? You would kick my ass in the street? Glad you think so. Very doubtful. You shouldn't threaten people you don't know. You never know what could be in store. You are quite fortunate you can just anonymously post away. I am not the toughest guy in the world, but I assure you I would have no problem with an obvious coward like you. Statistics say (due to my height and weight) that I could dispose of you with a sneeze. But I have never looked for a fight. It is not how I live. You make threats. What a joke. So go ahead and convince everyone here how wonderful you are as a trader and a great patriot. Obviously, you can't even see that you are making a fool of yourself. It isn't just me that thinks so. You have proved beyond doubt to all who read your posts how full of intolerance, hatred, and most likely self-loathing you are. You call me a sad man? I don't have to call other people names to make myself feel better. I don't have to believe that I am better than a whole nation of people because of where they were born. I don't have to use profanity to make a point. Who DON'T you despise? You obviously hate "lefties", "camelhumpers", less experienced traders, and women. What is the complete list? MD
Smokey, If you are a true patriot, genuinely concerned about the funding and training grounds of terror, I suggest you vent your anger towards the evil Saudis and Pakistani fanatics... the vast majority of the Sept 11 terrorists were Saudis and the vast majority of Al-Quaeda funding is Saudi-based... and, currently, the vast majority of training grounds for Islamic terror are in Pakistan... so if you are a true American patriot, go and kick some Saudi and Pakistani ass... I tell ya what, I will join you in gunning down those motherfu**ers... God Bless America... Candle P.S. As you see, I aint no pacifist... I just wanna make sure we nail the real enemy for real reasons, and not the wrong enemy for oil...
Candle, I am with you. Contrary to Smokey and a few others who believe anyone who has reservations about going to war with Iraq is not patriotic, I too believe that we must fight to retain our freedom and place in the world. But it has to be well thought out. And justified. Now Saddam is a menace. But the Iraqi people are not. Saudi Arabia is a disgrace to mankind. But again, it is just the royal family for the most part. Unfortunately, the way of life there breeds the kind of contempt that gives birth to terrorists. There is just too much hatred in the world. The only real way to overcome it in these backward 3rd world countries is with education, money and a cessation of kissing up to the leaders of these corrupt regimes because of oil. There are no easy answers. Hatred is obviously an irrational emotion that can be exploited by leaders everywhere. Look here at home in the US. Guys like Smokey and Dotslash and Max are our equivalent of the kind of fanatics we worry about over there. Luckily for us, they are contained here by our society. We must figure out a way to enlighten the populace of the middle east so that the hatred will subside. It is a tough chore to accomplish in lands where so many have so little. And so few have so much. They need to be led out of the 8th century. Education and money are the keys, but implementing strategy is very complex. This is why we really need to evolve our tactics. When bombing doesn't work; when conventional warfare becomes counterproductive, it means taking the time to figure out how to successfully achieve our goals. I would suggest sending Smokey right to Baghdad. Maybe he could establish a rapport with Saddam. They seem to have a lot in common. MD
I am sorry that you feel that "Man is a Bastard!" What is the meaning of the word bastard? And while you are sure that women in American Cities are treated very bad, you did not give examples. Since I am here, I can verify your findings so please let me know where there is comparable behavior as to Saudi Arabia and the domination practice there that is LEGAL. You see, it MUST be legal there as we all know about it. And again you verify my points. You mentioned women who were leaders of their countries (I am sure that there were elections). You say that they are forward in their country postures because they made it. Well it could happen here to. If the majority of the population VOTES them in. They CAN do it too here in America! And I would also ask that since all these countries are so progressive, why are their citizens who can, leaving? We get a ton of folks over here and the population is increasing annually from many countries that you say are BETTER than America. If they are operating that much better, why are they leaving? Now, show me the reverse situation. Show me the increasing numbers of Mexicans and Canadians moving to these better Arab and muslim trend-setting countries. Show me how many Europeans are opting to leave their countries for the pleasures that can only be found (and shared) in the Arab world. I am sure that Tibet residency is high on the country of origin list of folks that are seeking to move to Tokyo also. Our schools can evidence more foreigners than should be here if we are that poor in our teachings. It doesn't say much for those great Arab/muslim countries (or parents) if they would allow so many of their children to attend classes in such a backwards poor training country. Why would they leave such countries where the middle classes are so much stronger and affluent than America. And even if they did, there should be such a demand on them to return home. Where is it? I would love to help them out as we are in need of the jobs according to our democratic party. You see with them all leaving for their homelands, our suffering middle could fill in the spaces and our unemployment would be reduced. Capitalism is about more than just oil. There should be new American owned businesses in every one of these countries that are starting to make the old guard hustle to stay in the lead. The corporate acquisitions and mergers should also be on the rise. I must start to watch EliteTrader closer for inside information. They are obviously holding out the information on the American companies that are buying assets and operations in these great muslim based countries. Rather than subcontract out to companies who are raping their folks to the tune of a dollar or two a day, they could own them directly. Legally! Why couldn't the women that you used in your examples effect women's rights when they ran things? They were in charge in a muslim country weren't they? They held the highest office in their muslim forward thinking lands and yet they couldn't affect policy? That should make a loud statement in and of itself. I have a major problem with all these abuse lands that you mentioned. So let's make changes. I vote that since we are in an Iraqi mode we start there. New leader, new policy, new way of doing things. And since we are discussing the Africa situation we can move there next. They too have suffered long enough!
