My dear young man. Atilla was a HUN! Totila was an Ostrogoth. PLEASE!!!! Also, I am told Atilla had no real sense of humor. My ancestor Totila had a GREAT sense of humor! And he was so funny the Ostrogoths all died laughing apparently. After all, he was the last king of them all. Maybe because he tried to unite Italy. Talk about funny!!! Now a better question would be, what was a "HUN"? was it the guys last name? Were there other guys like Seymour the Hun? What's the deal with Huns anyway? Or was it just a surname. And "The" was his middle name? I am no student of history. Since those days pretty much ended about 1200 years ago, I barely have any recollection at all. Vague memories, but you know how they are. Never sure if the memories are real, or I just heard the stories so many times from my mom and dad that it seems like I remember. But I wouldn't swear to anything. MrSubs' Mom
