US mutual fund inflows at 7-year high

Net inflows to US mutual funds last year rose to almost $300bn, the highest amount in seven years, lifting the industry's total assets to $7,900bn (€6,297bn) as investors flocked back following the stock market's recovery.The pace continued in January, with an estimated $40bn flowing into equity and balanced funds - a level not seen since the height of the boom in February 2000, according to data from Strategic Insight, a fund researcher

  3. Inflows this past week were $3.7 billion and the 4 week MA is at the highest level since March of 2000.

    Fund inflows occured this past week in just about every sector, except for tech, which saw small outflows, but we already know that because the sector has been correcting for the past few weeks.
