We never had one... just periodically bitched about our dependence on foreign sources. Now that oil ~ $100, OPEC countries are ROLLING in $USD... so much that they're even going to the expense of reclaiming the ocean for luxury property sites. Sheesh. If we would have had an energy policy much of that money would have gone to American companies instead of OPEC, and we wouldn't have such a huge trade deficit. Then again, Socialist Nancy Pelosi and the rest of the DemoCraps would be bitching their heads off and calling for "windfall profits tax". I must say... over the last 30 years American "leadership" [oxymoron], has been nothing short of F*CKED!
