US Dollar Status as Global Reserve Currency Slides

    This should be considered alarming; a warning! It is not that the reduction in world dollar reserves is extraordinary at this point but the trend is alarming. Probably it's no accident that the longer-term trend accelerated in 2016. If the U.S. continues its current stance of non-cooperation with the other democratic nations, but instead increasingly aligns itself with Russia and some of the other totalitarian nations, such as Saudi Arabia, it can not expect that its currency, the U.S. Dollar, will retain its status, in the long run, as the primary reserve currency used by Western aligned democracies.
