US Deploys 12000 Troops to Libya

NATO Will Not Return To Libya Despite Clashes

BRUSSELS (AFP)--NATO has no intention of launching new air operations in Libya despite deadly clashes taking place in a former bastion of late dictator Moammar Gadhafi, the alliance chief said Thursday.

Fighting erupted in the oasis town of Bani Walid earlier this week, three months after NATO ended its air war in Libya and declared it had accomplished its mission to protect the civilian population.

"We are not present in Libya and we have no intention to return," Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen told a news conference.

Rasmussen noted that the U.N. mandate that authorized the operation was no longer active. The seven-month NATO bombing mission crushed Gadhafi's army, giving rebels an edge in the conflict.

"On October 31 we terminated the operation because we clearly assessed that we had done our job and done it successfully," he said. "This is also the reason why we have no intention to return. Our mission has been completed."

Libyan Defence Minister Osama Juili declared Wednesday that Bani Walid was back under government control after Monday's violence left at least five people dead.

There's little difference between agenda-driven media, and the deliberate concealment of fact. The agenda (or bias), drives content. Again, lies of omission rule the day. Take for example the Security and Prosperity Partnership (aka the North American Union). Lou Dobbs was the only guy in the mainstream press who covered it, despite an inaugural Banff Summit attended by most of the media, in 2006. Lets not dance around the issue here. Media big wigs and a few national anchors make the guest list to Bilderberg and Bohemian Grove, every year. Most high-level guys in media are members of the CFR. They know what's happening. So to chalk it up to incompetence, ignorance or laziness, no, it's not. There's an agenda, true. And that agenda is you don't talk about these inner circle organizations, who coincidentally happen to plot the end of US sovereignty, amongst other things. All that to say, a troop deployment is a fart in the wind compared to the machinations going on behind the scenes at these little clubs.

Notice the source of the North American Union plan - the Council on Foreign Relations. Connecting the dots, yet?

Ron Paul has said basically that - the original Patriot Act floated around the House for years prior but the political will didn't exist to pass it. What that does show is intent. That for years, the House and Senate wanted massive Police State powers but didn't have the national support to get it through. That's another red flag, right there.

As far as the Libyan troop deal, we'll see. Nobody knows at this point, but Alex Jones is right way more than he is wrong.

  4. We had no troops there. No American lives lost. No troops occupy the country.
    Slight difference.
Not that you'd notice, too busy reading the crap that pig Alex Jones and his girlfriend Orly spew all over the place.

  6. To play devils advocate, it would be in the interests of the corporate media to keep the deployment under wraps if the government told them it was.

Of course. In fact, I'm pretty sure we have a plan for invading every country on the planet, should the need arise. The Patriot Act was an anti-constitutional wet dream just waiting for enough exploitable fear to be able to get it passed.

  7. Jackass. You'd believe anything that fool said, wouldn't you?
Tell me, where are they hiding those 12000 troops? Under Gaddafi's bed?
