US church membership falls below 50 percent for first time

  1. There's too much hypocrisy among the Christians to keep attracting otherwise lost souls. One hour a week Christians cannot sufficiently demonstrate a change that their God has granted them to convince anyone that this God of theirs is real. Consequently people have turned to other things similarly cult like, politics, activism, Twitter,(I wish I was joking), anything that gives their lives some meaning and sense of purpose. They will find their new Church just as unfulfilling in the long run.
    A God may in fact exist, impossible to say with certainty one way or the other, but the Church is dead in America. It's for the best.

    Countries become irreligious as they get educated. The US seems to be the exception.

  3. Churches do more good things for mankind then atheists ever will. A lot of people will not get this help if churches keep going under.

  4. Churches do some good work in their communities, they also do some harm. The way the Catholic church has handled their ongoing pedo priest problem is abominable. These things however are not the core reason for the decline. A silent God is. A "loving"God that judges, condemns, seeks vengeance and punishes his children is reason. A God with more human characteristics than not is reason. The church has made their God small and petty and have no one but themselves to blame for a declining membership.

  5. Declining membership is because young people are sinners and they like it that way and you can look at the Democratic Party for that.

    Atheist's are fuking useless individuals and they do not help anyone but themselves because they are selfish people and almost all atheist's are Democrats.

    Pedophilia is rampant all over the place especially with non-church going people. (See the Democrats again for that).

    Covid-19 has reduced membership and keeping people at home was caused by the Democrats.

    Q: See anything that is in each sentence?

    A: Democrats.

    Democrats = Part of the Evil.

    P.S. You don't have to go to church to be religious.

    Its the Christian conservitives that vote to stop any bill that helps the poor,votes to take heatlhcare from millions of people,votes to cut education,housing ,food programs etc for the poor.They are also the most racist people in the country and support mass murders with thier gun policies.

    Republicans=pure evil.

  7. There are a lot of Christians who vote Republican solely, because of abortion. I guess if you think abortion is murder and you feel passionately about not murdering the unborn it's logical to vote GOP despite everything else. However, the GOP's economic agenda is so clearly selfish/individualistic/anti-Christian/fuck the poor that it's hard to take seriously somebody that promotes both the economic and the social agenda. They seem completely contradictory of one another. Is there another major political party in the developed world that is against universal healthcare? [IMG]
