If you cant look at the chart today and see that the afternoon session was flat compared to the days range then it's easy to see why most traders lose.A scalper could trade it but if you were looking for a swing/reversal trade into the close, today was not a good bet with every sector in the red and indicies down over 2%.Flat he said and flat it was imo.
There is no ambiguity the range was 266 points the difference between when the call was made and the close is roughly 10% of the entire range 11414-11386 =28 points. You agree with contrary,i agree with rennick if we are to have a neutral judge, let's have someone who at least understands markets.
I don't think the flat market action calls should be included. If I'm not supposed to be trading them, I'm not going to make or lose money, and ultimately, I'm just interested in what the system does for me in terms of gain/loss.
when the system says "stand aside", thats a call. the call was good today... avoid the chop - preserve capital.
Rennick is 100% correct with this statement. Being able to judge when a market (any market) is in a neutral state and less likely to deliver on a high probability directional trade is crucial to an intra-day trader's success. I am not surprised that this point would be questioned, seeing as how over 90% of the guys trying to do it, fail. Can I get an Amen? Amen Renny continues to provide the content in this trader's ghostown while every new piker and johnnie come lately tries to make their cred ... on his. LOL, long live ET.
Sweetheart, often the best trade is the one you do not make. Would you have rather had the "Ball" tell you that further "tradable" weakness was ahead? No,no,no my dear of course you wouldn't. That call would not have paid off. Please feel free to PM me for a more in depth discussion. Until you post again, warmest regards. Bill Rennick
