Urgent Fed Meeting (Oct 7th)

Discussion in 'Economics' started by AMT4SWA, Oct 6, 2002.

  1. The federal reserve website is showing a special meeting for monday morning to discuss the fed rate. Looks like we are going to have one heck of an interesting week.

On a very positive note, it looks like Saddam's inner-circle is starting to have some serious defections. It's time to pull the trigger!

    - > Although, if you reference the past meetings, they sometimes have these smaller meetings and nothing is decided. Actually, the site says they meet every other week.

  3. how is that new? The main site says "Last update: October 3, 2002"

Notice of the meeting was given "Dated: September 27, 2002."

  4. Thanks for the heads up. 11:00 AM Eastern.

  5. Went to the federal reserve's web site and did not see any urgent meeting.

Please provide link where you found this information and also link to the news on Iraq.

I'll assume this is a bunch of bull market crap until proven otherwise.

  8. Thanks for the link

  9. I agree. Also, on October 3d, they added the discussion of rates to the agenda. It's no big secret. As if da boyz from the Fed were out boozing it up at the 19th hole after a long day of golfing today, and decided they would give the markets a little juice tomorrow morning. "The Fed has entered the market". Seriously,
how much can a 25bps or 50bps cut really do at this point?

  10. what about sadam's men defecting, I don't see that anywhere.
