Didn't asked if Elon's wealth was exorbitant. Of course you avoided using *your word* offensive. Strawberry pickers and Slaughterhouse workers should be paid more. Most labor workers are underpaid. And you want UPS workers to join them. Sour grapes from your underwater TSLA stonk position really grinds on you. Maybe someday.
You mixing apples and oranges. I suggest you reread my prior statement and point to where I wrote that UPS drivers should be paid like slaughterhouse workers and fruit pickers. I only made the work analogy, not the income. I also explained why I don't think Musk's pay is offensive. He's certainly done more to justify his billions than the UPS CEO his millions. I just entered at 234. Pretty wise decision I think. And you?
So Elon's billion dollars pay is exorbitant but not offensive and UPS drivers are not exorbitant but offensive. Got it. As for a buy of TSLA today isn't it a bit early, for a hodler such as yourself, to be thinking it is a pretty wise decision?
The irony is that currency lost value while they're making less even in numbers, yet, the companies be like ,,We can't find truck drivers these days"
Correct. It's not about the size of the paycheck but your value add to the economy. I have nothing against UPS drivers, they do a fine job and my experience working there showed me they also hustle, at least during crunch periods. But $170k for that job, nearly 3x the national average, is unjustified because there are millions of jobs in America that require no more skills and no more effort but are paid far less. Perhaps every full time unskilled job ought to pay $170k per year? I can tell you what would happen... Your Starbuck latte would cost $30, your Happy Meal would run about $50 and UPS union would be arguing for $500k per year package because inflation is out of control.... So no, we don't want a $170k/year minimum wage and no unions want it either. Unions like the privilege. We all grew up wanting to make more than our neighbors and envy those who make more than us. From C level executive, to UPS driver, to bling bling Tik Tok influencer, we beat the odds and got it made! The UPS driver is the C level executive of the last mile supply chain, the aspiration of every food delivery person. The UPS driver is the middle finger to the liberal education system from the Republican side and the middle finger to the corporate machine from the Democrat side. He doesn't know it, but the $170k/year UPS driver is The American!
No they don't. My brother, as I mentioned previously, drives a Fedex 18-wheeler. And my best friend, before he died of pancreatic cancer a little less than a year ago, was a Fedex courier. Both since the early 90's. Both make (or in case of my friend made) nearly 90% of what they would be payed at UPS. Funny how that works. Unions get their workers better wages/bennies which causes private sector to match or come damn close to matching.
Just going by data. Glad to know your brother and best friend made much more than the average. https://www.comparably.com/salaries/salaries-for-fedex-drivers
