It seems crazy that the guy would be market ordering 100-300 lots into the thin liquidity of that day. He would be having a ton of slippage. I'm not sure a good trader would do that so it looks fake
His instagram is full of ferraris, lamborghinis, mercedes, hublots, rolexes, jets, expensive looking dinners, trades showing 500k+ profit etc I dont know if anyone would go through so much trouble to create a fake online persona when he isn't even a vendor trying to sell anything. Unless he's looking for some dan bilzerian style attention.
Most very short term traders use TA/DOM/Tape Reading. The GDP growth or future inflation outlook of a country is not relevant in a 5 minute trade.
I meant that anyone making SERIOUS SERIOUS money would likely have access to an edge that can't be seen in our retail tools of charts patterns and a DOM etc. Maybe the pics are a result of him taking pics of nice cars and jets etc on his travels, and then pretending that they're his.
Your deluded there are a lot of "lucky idiots" who are in the right place at the right time. I would much rather have a lucky 5 years than 30 years of the greatest edge in the world. This is trading not dentistry, its a profession at the mercy of randomness, anyone who disagrees is most likely a fool.
Im not saying the video is real, but the thought that you have to have some mystical secret edge to get rich in trading is flawed. There are a lot lucky idiots who had a good run and cashed in their chips before getting wiped out.
