I edit the post with more specifics. Easy for you to verify the birth locations of each Covid Variant of Concern via you using Google now that you have the names of the Variants of Concern. Delta Variant - India 2020, Gamma Variant - Japan/Brazil 2020, Alpha Variant - United Kingdom 2020, and Beta Variant - South Africa 2020... All when Covid vaccines were not available. Once again, I will repeat...Variants of Concern...statistically have an easier time to be birth on their own in hosts with no vaccine / no antiviral drugs, within hosts with usage of antiviral drugs in comparison to a virus within a host that's vaccinated... The latter is least likely considering no new variants of concern have been found so far to be birth in the United States of America nor Canada. These are not my opinions...they are the facts about the birth locations and when involving the mentioned Variants of Concern. Next year may be a different story if/when variants are birth in the United States or Canada when high vaccination status is reached. I forgot to mention one other important fact about these Variants of Concern. They all..every one of them... was born in the fall of 2020 when there were no available vaccines. We had an interesting problem here in Canada with our vaccine roll-out. I consistently watched our CPAC channel that literally almost gave a 24hour update about Covid and the vaccination effort in all the provinces. Sometimes, during the day, they would have someone like Dr. Theresa Tam, chief public health officer of Canada fielding questions live on TV. I remember she announced because of the slow vaccine roll-out problem...Canada thought it was OK to extend the time between the 1st and 2nd doses to a whopping 16 weeks (4 months). The United States did not have this vaccine rollout problem that extended the time between vaccine doses. Literally, within minutes they were slammed with warnings (not questions) from Doctors in Immunology and Virology about the dangers of extending the time between the vaccine doses. Specifically, they were warned about the increased probability of the rise of a Variant of Concern being born in Canada. In fact, the vaccine drug makers got involved too and they warned Canada too. Canada then panicked and they then started advising people that it was OK to mix-and-match their vaccinations to shorten the delay between the vaccine doses (e.g. Moderna the 1st Dose and Pfizer the 2nd Dose). That then created a new problem...some citizens did that but their 2nd dose was something like the Covidshied vaccine from India and that then barred them from entry back into Canada. That's another question...why were people allowed to go to India to get vaccinated with Covidshield in the first place ? Eventually, Canada decided to actually hold off giving the 1st Dose until they were sure a 2nd Dose was available within the recommend time the vaccine makers stated. I joked about this here at ET not too long ago, I recognize that science has changed in the past 30 years in comparison to what I learned in college is that you do not mix-and-match vaccine doses nor antiviral doses because it could encourage mutations that are more resistant. I also joked about dirty vaccines being sold on the black market by criminal organizations and posted links about such in which people have been arrested. Covid Variants of Concerns causing a Zombie Apocalypse Anyways, Canada quickly solved their vaccine rollout problems in which people did not need to wait longer than the recommended time between the doses and people did not need to mix-and-match their doses on a large scale.
