As I noted many times previously -- both vaccinated immunity and natural immunity wanes. However natural immunity generally wanes quicker than natural immunity and in the case of the Omicron variant it appears that having an previous variant may nearly provide no natural immunity against Omicron. It should also be noted that vaccination provides 100% presence of antibodies directly after the vaccination. Nearly 20% of those who were naturally infected display no antibody presence after recovering -- and nearly 40% have no detectable antibodies at the 3 month mark -- according to multiple studies (which I have previously posted) Of course, everything I provided above assumes the "naturally infected" are not vaccinated. As noted in studies, a combination of full vaccination and having a previous Covid case provides the strongest immunity. But considering the possible downsides of catching Covid -- including possible hospitalization & death there is no reason to rush to a "Covid party" in an attempt to get infected.
