Unvaccinated 5 times more likely to get Omicron

I think the CDC may have been getting some of their data from Israel. I only say that because there's been a few times I would see them say on CNN that they were still reviewing the new data but then they would quickly make reference to other data coming from Israel...

Data that would impact how they made recommendations to Americans.

Omicron on a molecular level is infecting both groups the same way.

Yet, you test 9 of 10 known vaccinated people for Breakthrough infections while at the same time only testing 1/2 of a person in a group of 10 individual infections for Reinfection...

Which group do you think should statistically be ahead in the raw infection numbers ?

    :D

P.S. I know you will not answer the above question but someone else will.

The hint is in the below video:

Still no source for this obvious lie.

Just so you know liars like you only hurt the vaccination cause.

Props to WB who I may not agree with but doesn't lie and can and does post sources for the posts he makes.

No, the CDC has not stated the same thing as the Israeli study... they may have posted some studies in the CDC journal that seemed to indicate this (but they actually do not). The message from the CDC has been consistent -- all the mainstream peer-reviewed studies in the U.S. quoted by the CDC show over longer periods of time that vaccination is much more effective than "natural immunity" to Covid. If you are trying to be a clown and attempting to claim that 8 weeks in a multiple month study shows that "natural immunity" is "better" than vaccinated immunity then you are simply pushing false anti-vaxxer talking points. Especially since this study of CA & NY stated very clearly that vaccination is critical .

Let's remind you of the harsh reality once again -- Unvaccinated individuals are over twice as likely to be re-infected - over 5 times in the most recent studies. The unvaccinated are over 5 times as likely to get Omicron, more than 17 times likely to be hospitalized (more than 48 times for older adults), and over 97 times as likely to die. The numbers are very stark in showing the benefits of Covid vaccination.

And once again as noted a number of news outlets misrepresented the contents of the study. Yet you cut & paste the same headline stuff again. Once again (since I already provided this to you at least half a dozen f@cking times -- and you are apparently incapable of reading & comprehending it) - Let's read the actual study and its summary with important information bolded.

COVID-19 Cases and Hospitalizations by COVID-19 Vaccination Status and Previous COVID-19 Diagnosis — California and New York, May–November 2021
    https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/71/wr/mm7104e1.htm?s_cid=mm7104e1_w#contribAff

    Summary
What is already known about this topic?

Data are limited regarding the risks for SARS-CoV-2 infection and hospitalization after COVID-19 vaccination and previous infection.

What is added by this report?

During May–November 2021, case and hospitalization rates were highest among persons who were unvaccinated without a previous diagnosis. Before Delta became the predominant variant in June, case rates were higher among persons who survived a previous infection than persons who were vaccinated alone. By early October, persons who survived a previous infection had lower case rates than persons who were vaccinated alone.

What are the implications for public health practice?

Although the epidemiology of COVID-19 might change as new variants emerge, vaccination remains the safest strategy for averting future SARS-CoV-2 infections, hospitalizations, long-term sequelae, and death. Primary vaccination, additional doses, and booster doses are recommended for all eligible persons. Additional future recommendations for vaccine doses might be warranted as the virus and immunity levels change.

And yet all you can do is cut & paste the same headlines again while not even providing the urls. Once again these headlines are all based on the same study -- and these sources misrepresented the results of the Washington state & New York study. All failing to note there was just a short number of weeks where "natural immunity" appeared to be "better" than vaccinated immunity at a time when initial vaccinations were waning and boosters were needed during the Delta wave.

I provided a link to the actual study including its summary which indicates the exact opposite of your assertions.

And once again -- here is the fact check.

Claim: “The CDC admits that natural immunity from prior infections is superior to vaccinated immunity alone.”

Blog post ignores important context about COVID-19 immunity study
    https://www.politifact.com/factchec...ost-ignores-important-context-about-covid-19/

    If Your Time is short
    • A CDC study on the spread of the delta variant found that unvaccinated people who were previously infected with COVID-19 accounted for fewer cases than fully vaccinated people who had never been infected.
    • However, the study was conducted before the spread of the more infectious omicron variant and before booster doses were widely offered to the public.
    • The CDC study said vaccination is the best form of protection against the virus, even for people who previously had COVID-19.
