If you read my post history in the other Covid threads... I've shown other states that have more Reinfections than Breakthrough Infections but I've singled out Maryland in this thread only because I know someone that contacted them to encourage them to keep a database on Reinfections when in prior they had not been doing it at all. In fact, there are other states doing the same...not keeping data on Reinfections while keeping data on Breakthrough Infections which in my opinion is somewhat biased to do when those particular states keep saying "look at all the vaccinated people with breakthrough infections". Preferably I would like to see states keep the following data: Length of hospital stay of the breakthrough infection versus reinfection Numbers of ICU Admission for both groups Number of Deaths for both groups Regardless, my issue is not with the thread title considering I've discussed several different topics in this thread (e.g. Super Immunity). Thus, my selection of Maryland has nothing to do with the 5x more topic by GWB. I used Maryland because a few months ago...they had ZERO reinfections or at least not keeping statistics about it while keeping data about breakthrough infections. wrbtrader
Yet... as every day goes by we find yet another member of Congress who announces they got Covid for a second time. Of course nearly all of them are Republicans who either never got vaccinated or only got vaccinated but never boosted after getting Covid the first time. Of course.. seeing that many members of Congress do not reveal their Covid infections unless they are forced to due to missing meetings --- it can hardly be considered to be a scientific sampling. Sen. Roger Wicker announces he tested positive for COVID-19 a second time This is the senator's second positive COVID-19 test result in a year https://www.foxnews.com/politics/sen-roger-wicker-tested-positive-covid-19-second-time
Not even close to the number of vaccinated and test positive. It's like 50+ to 5 Look at WBs Maryland numbers
Here is a reminder about the reality across large data sets... Unvaccinated COVID-19 survivors 5 times more likely to get reinfected https://www.upi.com/Health_News/2022/02/17/COVID-19-vaccination-reinfection/7821645118063/
