InfinitySL, would you please clarify the above so we are on the same page: there is no "save layout" action in TWS, did you mean to say "Save Template"? If so - yes - currently saving templates only saves metadata related to how you search/scan by, it does not have data for what is visualized; generally speaking what you search by is driving what you see (for example if you search by Maturity, we'll show Maturity as a column; you can augment that by configuring layout manually). If we were to save visualization related data, then it is not clear how would you apply it when you load it back - imagine you have 2 bond searches running in parallel - if you load template into first, would you want to affect layout of second search (my guess is not, however there are people who would disagree). Bob111, I'm not sure if you are aware - we have added much more advanced (and streamlined) set of scanners - Mosaic Scanners - would you please try these out? http://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/software/tws/usersguidebook/mosaic/mosaic_market_scanners.htm Also, as a side note - I'm still waiting (since 5/23) for you to get back to me regarding earlier issues you've reported e.g. stuck market data; I assume luck of communication is related to these issues not appearing anymore. If this is is not the case - I'd be happy to look at them/address, please email me. Thanks.
Hi! you know me-i would be all over the place,if there is problems with the data. as for mosaic-no thank you. with scanner saving template-we are talking about LAYOUT. columns.
Starting around 2 weeks ago, TWS Latest launched from a browser has the following chart buglets: (800x600 window, 1 day/1 min candlesticks, outside RTH is NOT checked) - candlestick bodies are only 1 pixel wide. Used to be 3 pixels wide. The width can adjusted on windows with a smaller number of bars (say, if I zoom in, selecting a 2 or so hour period), but cannot be adjusted on 1 day/1 min charts. - title mentions previous day and current day - used to (correctly) have just the current day. Older browser-launched TWSs don't have these buglets. I prefer to use TWS Latest because it (correctly) displays trades only on the bars corresponding to the time periods the trades actually occurred; older TWSs extend the last trade price display to each succeeding bar until there's a trade at a different price, resulting in a yellow smear to the right of each trade on, for example, charts of options, which may go for several minutes or hours without a trade.
Thank you for your report; this was corrected in currently posted beta 940.1j; 939 build will shortly be updated with these fixes too
Hello, I just downloaded the newest version of TWS a couple days ago, and I've noticed that trendlines and horizontal lines do not get saved after a new symbol is entered on a chart. For example if I draw lines on NQ and switch to ES, then switch back to NQ, the lines on NQ are gone. I didn't have a issue with this on the prior version. Is there a way I can fix this or is it a bug? Thanks
why IB is displaying prices in such weird way? if it's a subpenny trade-why customers can't see it? note that 'change' column is probably displaying correct value(which is 0.00001 less than 4.14,but there is no way for us to see it in T&S or last price. and again-at same time-charts displaying the price correctly. sick of this sub penny BS anyway. for days i see stocks traded at my price and i can't get any fills at all. you are only bidder, hundreds of share passed by at your price-you got nothing. what's the point of being right on the price,if you can't get any fill in this market?
I like the new charts but I had to revert back to older version. Performance bogs down for some reason when it reaches its default java heap memory setting. Bogs down to the point of being unusable. I didn't make any changes except upgrade.
I tried this in current beta and it works for me; would you please help me reproduce it? I will send you PM with the steps, thank you in advance.
