i'm asking for part time, without any benefits. this type of GUI Q&A can (and should) be done from home. i know couple guys(one of them from reuters), who is working like this, from his home, for a very long time. what IB have to lose? i know their TWS like my own 5 fingers. it's not some sort of top position consultant with 1year + contract. all you have to do is to know their product and what all those things suppose to do and how they suppose to function. not a rocket science. boring, time consuming job.
My comment was tongue in cheek. I just imagined what the dialogue would be between you and your superiors. You are quite adept at bringing bugs to light you and your are definitely familiar with the product and its shortcomings/capabilities. Your method of expressing yourself tends to be a bit aggressive, and in that I found humor. Hey Bob, what do you think of this new implemention? Go Fxxx#%^&%%&&*, this %&%%$%^&, sucks lol From an employer's HR point of view I would be hesitant, from a productivity point of view, I see the benefit. Having a good day and in a good mood, didn't mean for my comment to be negative.
i see what you mean. but being a frustrated customer is one thing and paid employee is another. and this is why i'm asking for part time from home. to cut that sort of interaction to a absolute minimum. it's actually decent solution for IB to shut this **** guy up
I have been unable to access Account Management through TWS for the last three days. I do not know if this is a bug or an intentional change by IB.
just curious-what is the purpose of "contract display mode"? can anyone enlighten me? what uis the difference between symbol and underlying mode?(besides different color of underlying column)? cause search on Ib's website returns nothing. just as search in TWS help. it appear so me that IB is trying to use 'common practic'e where customer can use certain features by pressing appropriate key(or combination of keys on keyboard).. that's why 'typically' certain letters on the menu are underlined(see same screenshoot below). but when i tired to press them with(or without typical alt or ctrl or shift combo)-nothing happens.
let's come back to the mother of all GUI 's-T&S window latest thing that got 'fixed' by creative IT dept. current beta TWS looks like they fixed (partially) resizing problem along with position settings. but number of bugs and user UNFRIENDLY features aren't gets any less cause of that..take default color palette. grey on grey and grey on black..s***t... that was creative! now try to change bid\ask color. you can't. you can change everything EXCEPT those gray on gray bid\ask numbers(which is imo pretty damn important numbers). and what's that +12 suppose to mean? or 90.46 05? where can i find help with those numbers? what do they mean? one more time-why are you trying to reinvent the wheel? roll back old T&S window and leave it alone. nah..gotta do something..gotta create illusion of work..what can be easier to mess with than those 'cosmetic' changes, right? they are visible to everyone and easiest to play with. but even those attempts create nothing, but chaos in already messed up TWS.
How come build 935 won't let you see a full day's data on a 1 minute chart for YM? The most I could get was 9 hours for the 1 minute chart. The "time period charts" dialog box is completely messed up. Can't configure like in any other version I've ever had. These bugs need immediate attention! Then, I think it was a beta version, 936 that I logged into. They added some kind of dark colored line to display on the candle on which your mouse is placed. At least, the crosshair will now "stick" to the candle for which you want to see data, but the dark line is bad. Stay away from these two versions!! They are not good!!
Also, why do we have to download 64 bit java now, to log into a browser based version of TWS??? Sometimes I like to log in on a new version to see if it is stable and check for new features.
