  1. Well, I just spent the whole 2nd half of the NBA game talking to Schwab people who do not know half of what vanzandt does. It turns out that you can not trust the TOS numbers and you have to keep track of it yourself to make sure you are following the rules that vanzandt laid out. I have been in violation in each of the last 3 days but I don't think they were even able to determine that if I had not brought the issue forward.

It looks like you can have 3 legs in a day. You can do a day-trade then buy again for an overnight hold but you can not do the 2nd sell.

I am ready to forget trading and watch football. Well maybe not, trading is my day-hobby. I am almost 80 so figuring all this stuff out keeps my brain sharp, or crazy one or the other.

Lol... it's the sign of the times
I wouldn't have wasted my time unless I was pretty sure I was right.

Back to the ncaa... emphasis mine.

NCAA, Power 5 agree to deal that will let schools pay players

The NCAA and its five power conferences have agreed to allow schools to directly pay players for the first time in the 100-plus-year history of college sports.

The NCAA and its leagues are moving forward with a multibillion-dollar agreement to settle three pending federal antitrust cases. The NCAA will pay more than $2.7 billion in damages over 10 years to past and current athletes, sources told ESPN. Sources said the parties also have agreed to a revenue-sharing plan allowing each school to share up to roughly $20 million per year with its athletes.

"The five autonomy conferences and the NCAA agreeing to settlement terms is an important step in the continuing reform of college sports that will provide benefits to student-athletes and provide clarity in college athletics across all divisions for years to come," NCAA president Charlie Baker and the five power conference commissioners said in a joint statement Thursday evening.

"This settlement is also a road map for college sports leaders and Congress to ensure this uniquely American institution can continue to provide unmatched opportunity for millions of students. All of Division I made today's progress possible, and we all have work to do to implement the terms of the agreement as the legal process continues. We look forward to working with our various student-athlete leadership groups to write the next chapter of college sports."

"It doesn't matter if you're only in the 7th grade.... mom and dad... just sign here. Junior... what color Escalade did you want again? But you have to get thru grade 12 first.... we're not worried.... send us a link of those rims you want."

  5. Cess-Pool indoctrination into proper wokeness. That is what most people pay 35K a year for but athletes get it for free although fortunately there are some good coaches that try to shield their players from all of that nonsense.

AND YES I did get my 90 day restriction notice this morning for trades that I made yesterday. I am quite sure that I was right that they did not know it until I brought it to their attention last night in my 33 minute phone call because they specifically said it was for violations on the 28th. Well, I had the same violations on the 24th and 25th and received no morning after pill from them for those trading days.

The restriction notice just adds confusion as they say I can continue to trade but only with settled funds. Well, is that not what I was supposed to be doing anyway. So what is different under the restriction? They gave me a phone number to talk with another specialist so I might call. Or I might just keep trading making sure I follow the rules or maybe bringing it up to a PTD account may make all this go away. Or maybe just trade with AMP or do a Guantlet with E2Trade. Or maybe just Retire for Real. My wife died unexpectedly a couple of months ago after a two week illness, so some days I just don't give a crap about any of this stuff.

  6. I did call Schwab and they are going to remove the Restriction so I just have to be a good boy from now on.

  8. Yes it does mean something vanzandt and I appreciate your condolences. We went to Florida for a 3 week vacation and at the beginning of the 2nd week she woke up with tremendous fatigue, after a couple of days we went to Orlando ER and after 4 days of testing they found stage 4 lung and liver cancer and she died 14 days after being released from the hospital. She was loved by a lot of people and by me for 58 years (married 56) and the Celebration of Life lasted 2 and a half hours. Sorry to deviate from the thread but I guess it helps to express it.

It does. And I am 100% sure 98% of the people here feel your pain. Very sorry. It sounds trite... but hang in there. Don't get all crazy with stocks, ;)

  10. Thanks, vanzandt. I promise I will not "get all crazy with stocks". I added 15K to my option account so that gives me plenty of trading space without getting in trouble with Schwab. It is a good hobby for me to keep me busy and active. I took the S&P 100 and the Nasdaq 100 and selected the 80 highest priced stocks and put them into 4 screens on TOS with 20 on each screen using a 10 minute chart so I can see the entire day's activity on each stock. That is my entire population of tradeable stocks. Interesting that there is always an opportunity for a call or put somewhere.

Some people get lost in their grief but my wife and I had a few days before she got too sick to talk and I promised her that I would make my season of grief as short as possible and get on with my life until I see her again. And I will see her again as the grave has no victory.
