So, you've got an obscure, sort of inconclusive, study that someone doesn't like... Sounds familiar, happens every day... What's your point?

  2. that's good stuff. Have you considered running for office? You should. There is a sea-change a brewing, this country needs more like yourself influencing policy.

The last candidate I spoke to directly, knocked on my door, and proceeded to pitch his credentials. Liberal lawyer, whose main concentration is building fixed-rail urban transit systems, in a city that in no way needs, wants, or can afford it. He was elected, alderman.

Every liberal I've every spoken to is basically a crackpot. The vast majority of people in this country feel the same way. Weird how we find ourselves being governed by them, albeit, temporarily.

  3. Then why did the OP even bring it up? And more to the point, Mr. Science, why did you revel in such a sham study? As the Man of Science that you are, why did you not expose it for the crap that it is?

Not that I spent too much time on this, but Zogby is a respected, quite accurate pollster with a solid track record, that works hard to stay impartial - while Nate Silver (538 blogger) is a well known leftist liberal who's just pushing his opinion. If I had to trust one of those two, I'd take Zogby.

You may not agree with my perspective here, but think about it: Zogby makes money by being as accurate as possible for both Dem and Repub candidates (objective criteria, public track record) while Silver sells controversial evaluations to his leftist clientele. If you were an independent like me, with a definite conservative bent, who would you trust?

Also, what you read in your article is 538's objections (a clearly biased evaluation) and not the Zogby researchers' justification why they designed the study like that and decided to drop some of the data, etc. There are many scientifically valid reasons why they could have chosen to go that way, we just don't know because we don't have their side of the story.

  6. 1. Socialism is preventing race to the bottom.
    2. Capitalism is promoting race to the top.

    Most leftists willfully ignore 2.

    Hello

At what point will you admit you are a total failure?

A friend emailed this to me.......

Last night Eileen and I were having dinner over at Bill's, you know how liberal he and Marsha are, I couldn't pass on this opportunity....

Their daughter, Melissa chimed in during the dinner conversation saying that she couldn't wait to grow up and get a job so she could help those homeless folks, like the one's she saw while shopping with her mother.

I told Melissa that she didn't have to wait, this weekend we were doing some painting on the house, and that she could come over and help, and instead of giving the money to her we could go down to the store and we could give it to the people she saw.

She thought for a minute and said, why don't you get those people to help paint, and then give them the money?

I said Melissa, welcome to the Republican Party
