    EFT?

I assume you mean ETF or exchange-traded fund.

    Universal Stock Futures?

I'll assume you mean Stock index futures.

There are pros and cons to both:

Futures have longer trading hours available, get better tax treatment, have what I consider to be a more "fair" market (all electronic Globex), offer greater leverage and PTD rules don't apply.

ETF's don't have to be rolled over once a quarter (applicable if your a long term trader) and..... and that's about the only advantage I can think of, I'm sure someone else will have something more to add.

  3. I trade futures, but also swing trade ETF's for investment income.
I follow 120 with a min. dividend of 7% paid monthly. About every 3-4 months there's an interest scare & they drop like a rock, as they have the last few days. Great buying opportunity, usually worth a couple $/shr per cycle plus dividends.

    See www.etfconnect.com for info.

Dave, are you trading etf's or closed end income funds?
