Have any of you met a hitter?

I have never had a malfunction on a Glock 17 (w/o can). He had more malfunctions in the video than I have had shooting maybe 2-3K rounds through a pistol can with booster. All Browning-action SAs need boosters as a fixed-can wouldn't allow the action to cycle. The barrel tilts.

    There is no contradiction.

I said I don't condone violence. That is a statement about me and my thoughts and opinions. I am qualified to make that statement because I am sane and I know what my own thoughts and opinions are.

Then I said that the killing, if it was indeed an aggrieved patient or family member of a patient who was denied coverage, is a symptom of deeply dysfunctional healthcare system.

There is no contradiction. These two statements may be true at the same time.
    • I do not condone violence as a solution to a broken healthcare system.
    • The guy who killed Brian Thompson did so because he or someone close to him was unjustly denied coverage by UHC for procedures or treatment.
I concede that at this time we do not know if the second statement is true, because we don't know what the killer's motive was. But both of these statements can be true. The first is a statement about what I believe. The second is a statement about what the killer believes, and what his motivations were. There is no contradiction.

I am definitely not an expert. I understand your points.

I thought that the shooting in the back felt more like a job than a personal revenge.

But I see the technical issues and they all make sense.

It would be difficult to take him F2F as people have better situational awareness when out of town/unfamiliar surroundings. The guy cannot IWB/Appendix carry a 17 with a can that is longer than the pistol and whip it out as he approaches head-on.

He clearly had almost no time on the pistol/suppressor combo.

I believe you feel the way you do. I'm only suggesting that your wording wasn't great. You could have written something more like this:

In spite of what you think about the current healthcare system, the killing was unjustified.
However, by writing what you did, you are (perhaps unwittingly) supporting the idea that the healthcare system is broken and can be improved unequivocally. That's a much higher bar to clear and you haven't presented anything that would lead me to believe you're right in that regard.

This simply confirms my earlier comment that his wife appears to be blissfully naive about just how many people would like to kill the CEO of the company that controls their access to healthcare.

Here again, I am not advocating violence LOL. I am expressing my opinion, and my opinion is that many, many people in the USA are extremely angry with decisions made by the health insurance carrier, and some are angry enough that they would like to kill the CEO.

The vast majority of those people do not act on their thoughts, for many different reasons. Reason number one: They don't want to go to prison.

Here's the Guardian article that quotes her, citing NBC:
