I'm almost siding with the Gunman. He's sacrificed the rest of his Life because some Crooks have hurt or even killed many people and are making a fortune while doing it. He faces the Death Penalty doesn't he? Remember the Movie The Rainmaker,, about the Health Insurance industry.
Well I know very little about guns but from reading from those who really do know this guy ain't a pro...maybe many agree with the outcome ie insurance ceo dead...even unconsciously eg it feels right or getting one back for the good guys.... Actuarial studies and actuaries run the show on presenting potential policy as I have 2 mates who are in such positions. It's all about stats and which side one takes to make more money. Where does that sound familiar? Anyhow an interesting discussion and insights as it makes one think some more.thank you
Yes America is f'ed up. The world is f'ed up. We know that but you don't need to be so harsh on people like lesbians and trans who just want to live their lives according to how they want to live. I don't like it when they want to impose their lifestyle all on us and force us to pick up the tabs for their lifestyle but as long as they confine their lifestyle to themselves and are good at what they do, I have no problem accepting them. And as for "third-world" doctors, it's thanks to them that America is still able to have a healthcare otherwise the healthcare cost is going to be even less affordable. If you don't like it, get off this forum, go apply for a med school and become doctor yourself. If you are a trader and don't do politics, then just trade. Sell the shit that's overpriced buy the underpriced hidden gems. You never know, this local company run by this fat lesbian might be a underpriced hidden gem that will one day be included in SPX. And this young autistic dude might be the police officer that's protecting your city with his life.
Insurance companies are not supposed to be casinos but they are being run like casinos. That's the problem.
A good insurance company should come through when people needed it the most, not just take their money and give nothing back. That's a fraud scheme not a good insurance company. Of course, there would be time that extraordinary happens and insurance company would lose money when unforeseeable circumstances like the pandemic or natural disaster where the payout would be significantly larger than the premium collected. This is where the investment returns from the investment of the premiums are supposed to come in to compensate for the loss from the claims side. And if they can't, maybe it's the investment management side of the insurance company that's poorly run.
The latest on this event: https://www.cnn.com/us/live-news/brian-thompson-unitedhealthcare-news-12-6-24/index.html The reward for catching the guy is now $50K as offered by the Feds. I still believe the guy that's shown on the photo to be smiling while "flirting" with the hostel worker and the guy in the other photo with the darker-coloured clothes are two different guys. The nose on the two photos are totally different.

4th day not finding the most carless shooter ever. He didn't wear gloves at Starbucks, imagine waiting at a bus station for your escape?
Finding him isn't going to bring the CEO back. I'm starting to "root" for the Gunman. Hopefully it makes other Crooks think twice about ripping people off, I doubt it will unfortunately.
