I saw another video from later on after he's returned to the plane, with a lot of blood pouring from his mouth, clearly confused because he's badly concussed. That poor man, no one deserves to be treated in this manner.
This is the eye-witness account of what happened. This man actually talked to the passenger who was forcibly removed. His name is David Dao btw and he went to medical school in Vietnam. He was actually travelling with his wife who was seated 3 rows behind him. Apparently there is a policy that they are not supposed to separate you if you are travelling with somebody. I guess that all go out of the door when they need to make room for their employees who want to hitch free rides. Apparently United Airlines wasn't even offering $800 USD, real money. No, they were offering 800 United dollars LOL!! That's why there were no takers because they worth crap. This is the interview with the guy who shot the video that is now viral: . And he confirmed that the selection of the passengers who will be bumped off is based an algorithm that takes into account of the cost of the ticket.
What else can be said other than this being completely ridiculous and outrageous. What next? Will any future surgery one might have to undergo be canceled last minute because doctor's eldest or the nurse's nephew caught a cold and needs to be treated asap? What is happening in our societies? Why are people not fighting back? I sued one of my previous employer because promised contractually agreed bonuses were not paid. I did not care about any tarnished reputation or held back for fear of future company reprisals (I was hired again by another firm after I quitted and sued for pay that was owed to me). Are people so under qualified and unskilled that they are so fearful of going head to head with employers or companies one entered into contracts with abd who violate agreements? When will people stand up and fight for their rights?
No it will depend on how much you have paid for your surgery. If you are a donor to the hospital foundation then you get to have your surgery. If you are just an ordinary patient who pays via Canadian universal healthcare or the former Obamacare, then sorry, you are off the operation table. Actually not doctor's relatives in this case but the hospital staff get to have his/her liposuction gets to proceed first. That's why in China, you pay for your surgery and you have to even give bonuses to the surgeon before the surgery to ensure it goes well and you are wheeled out of there alive. And in China back like 10-20 years ago when there was a shortage of blood supply, ALL workplaces are given a quota of blood donation. When and if you are due for surgery, they check your workplace (in the planned economy, you are identified by your workplace, your employer)'s blood donation quota and if your workplace's blood donation hasn't fulfilled the quota, EVEN if you are already strapped in on the operation table, you could be unstrapped and wheeled out of the operating room and told to wait until your workplace has fulfilled the blood donation quota and then they will re-evaluate you. True story. I am NOT making any of this up. Corporate America is what happened. And it's making the land of the free VERY close to China or North Korea right now just from a $$ point of view.
