I saw a report on BBC today from a South African doctor who was one of the first to notice Omicron and at least in her very small sample, it does not appear as severe as Omega but seems more contagious. This could be a very good thing if its a down-regulated stage of the virus as has been hoped will happen. It then becomes one of the 200 plus viruses we call a cold. However, its a slim chance..
