Higher IV doesn’t necessarily translate into higher realized volatility. It’s true that, usually, the volatility crushes after earnings. But with the intraday move we had … it doesn’t surprise me that IV increased.

Some of these posters hide their true balances or use several burner accounts(Ones you can blow up and replenish.). A year ago someone bragged about dropping their entire life saving of $20,000 on a YOLO only to forget they included the whole account, position was .001% or less. Aha ok. That’s true, there are some pretty rich guys posting gains over there. Sometimes they post 100k gains but it’s only 10% of their account lol.
You can do 1 page or 10 pages of analysis on quarterly earnings reports ...at the end of the day...when the blackjack roulette ball stops spinning...it's ultimately just a gamble. And it's very hard to win in the long run with that approach. Don't make heros out of these very rare one offs.
