Becky!!! You posted your IB account # to the internet man... that's even worse than infinite gamma. I love you to bits, believe me. But, it's because you're a model of how not to behave in real life. You're like a cartoon character that embodies pretension. Don't ever change (if you even could)!
I am genuinely curious, as a client, what can really happen with an account number? Is it enough to cause headaches with stuff like 2FA and brokers asking tricky questions like your last deposit or active trade on, before giving you permissions to trade? Forget about withdrawing...
Yeah, it's personally identifying info, not the kind of thing you want willy-nilly floating all over the place so keep it secure. As an exercise... call IB and ask for a pw reset. See what info they ask of you before they grant it (hint: they won't need a urine sample). You don't agree? Then by all means post it on youtube or a public forum
If you want a more birds eye view play w/ this site and then think about the notion of entropy (esp. as it pertains to information theory).
I mean IB accounts are U1234567 Pretty sure most of them have more money than mine. It's not wise to leak his account number online, Because we leak our own specific target. It's one step closer to being hacked. Especially if we leak other personal informations. The more we know, the more we can search. More information means higher risk. But I don't think he's going to be hacked. IB is quite a secure application.
Agree 100%. What I find hilarious is that it's a risk which is very easily avoided... unless, of course, you're a midwit who can't control your own vanity.
