Unemployed Americans are no longer ashamed, America is becoming... Europe!

    Housing benefits in the uk bring it up to the same amount as you quote for the USA.

  3. I live in the only country in the world which has everlasting unemployment benefits and our budget deficit this year is estimated to come in at 4.5 %.

    Ergo:

    The UK and the US should lengthen their unemployment benefits to reduce their monstrous deficits.

    Like Europe???

    Well if not being ashamed of being unemployed can result in clean streets, low violent crime rate, universal access to good medical care, small impoverished class, big middle class, small super wealthy class, great bread, beer, wine, arts and a passenger rail system, then i'm OK with it. :D
