How do you position size Ken, when trading 10 symbols, some of which are 2x, 3x, 4x ETFs, while other stocks might have a beta of 1 or 1.5? (Side note: I jovially refer to UVXY as a 4x ETF, lol). Please give an example. For example, if you had a $100,000 account coming into today, and you ended up taking 10 simultaneous trades, what might that look like with regards to share sizes in the various instruments? Hypothetical of course. Taking it one step further, let's say you took 3 trades, AMZN, UVXY, and GE. What would your share sizes be in that case with the same $100,000 account? Would you be only 30% invested in those 3 trades, saving the other 70% for possible additional trades? Thanks, Math_Wiz
I'm not sure what a lot of trades adds up to but if your system has a profitable expectation and your taking every set-up you're not overtrading. If you set yourself a limit to the number of trades you take per day you might have missed the trades that got you back in the green. I might take one trade a week but I'm very picky with my set-ups.
damn right. over trading is bad if you do not have an edge.........and in that case, wtf, are you doing trading? all beginners should over trade to find out if they have the edge......if they lose quit or work to find an edge. after 14 years of losses i am still to find an edge..........not ashamed of my failures ...still looking
Let's break this down logically, padu... So you have 14 years of losses because you do not have an edge. So all beginners should do what you do, which is to over-trade, to figure out if they have an edge. You have yet to find your edge. So WTF are you doing trading? You are the worst advisor to beginners on ET. Ever. I cannot believe I wasted my time on Skype with you. And yes, you SHOULD be ashamed after 14 years of losses. There comes a time when you should give up, and also a time when you should STFU. Just stop typing advice to people here.
Hello Overnight, I have never had a winning year in trading the past 3 years I have been trading seriously. I have ZERO advice to tell anyone on this earth about trading. NONE. I know NOTHING. And I NEVER EVER give advice on ET. I know absolutely NOTHING. ok buddy, have a good night.
I wasn't replying to you, so go to bed. This way you will wake up and you will be refreshed and remember how to follow thread conversations.
