In the mid 1800s, 910K km sq of land were taken from China by Russia and that's 25X of Taiwan. The irony is that they are both friend now.
History is full of land disputes, thefts and trade. Border recognition and their inviolability is protected by UN Charter yet under constant pressure from those with separatist ambitions. The geopolitical chess game played by all powers leave a grey area of support for separatists or for nations protecting their borders. Some of the world's best known PR firms are paid millions to help groups spin their story for political and social backing.
This is why we are decoupling from China which really should've happened lot earlier seeing the way things are going.
and are still getting condemned. What's your point? It still does not justify China's abusive and bullying behaviour.
OTOH, economic systems are always captive to macro geopolitics. When a large and clearly emotional adversary warns you of their intention for your complete demise in an extraordinary way, possibly that information could have value to you in in more than one way. As a respectful student of Sun Tzu, I find that understanding the entire turf and positioning is everything when allocating capital and other decisions. (Even if the logical facts are unpleasant.)
Your one more piece of sh*t out of your mouth. Sh*t does not make your strong. When sh*t keeps coming out of your mouth, you already lose your edge. And becomes worthless.
