Well China's business is our business because whatever China does affects all of us. Unless China goes to another planet, we need to monitor China closely. China monitors everyone else closely too. This tragic event of the collapse of the condo in Florida, China is monitoring it very closely and even decides to criticize the rescuers who have been working around the clock trying to save people of "violating human rights". LOL

True Trump didn't care about the political stuff. He is a practical businessman so he decided to take the business approach and revise the trade agreement that US has China and assured China that it's only business and nothing personal but what did China do? China decided to take it personal and go political with the nationalism s*** talking about this war that happened in the 19th century, TWO centuries ago, accusing Trump of imperialism and all the s***. Then Trump decided to throw all those political stuff on China with Huawei and Hong Kong since the business-only approach doesn't work with China. China brought this upon itself. If China had just focused on negotiating the tariffs and not go off on a tangent dragging in all those political s***, Trump would have left all those other political stuff alone too but China leaves him no choice. It's China's fault.

Next time, if other people are not talking about your human rights crap then don't f***ing go accuse others of whatever s***. Just focus on the business on hand. The world has been very generous and nice to China. It lets China join in the WTO. It tolerated China's massive dumping when exporting, exorbitant tariffs on foreign imports and a highly manipulated exchange rate that totally does not reflect the state of China's economy. China is now the 2nd largest economy in the world and yet it wants an exchange rate as if China's still a 3rd-world country. There are countries that have a truly third-world economy that has higher exchange rates than China and yet China accuses Trump of begging thy neighbour. Well if Trump's revising of the trade agreement with fairer terms is "begging thy neighbour" then China's been panhandling the world for the last 30+ years with all these unfair trade terms. And China is now accusing the world of ganging up and bullying China? Ridiculous!!

I am talking about a country overall, not its specific people. The cuba thing, that's foreign policy, a whole different ballgame.

    jsop, excuse please, I misposted.
    that was intended for RedSun.

Your response is of interest though.
There is a tendency for us to lump the populace into the consensus group that sets policy.

I submit to you that these stereotypes are not warranted, eg "a country overall" vs the leadership decisionmaking component of any operational organisatiion such as a "China" or a Canada, or a Cuba, or a Zimbabwe.

What might be a good way to express that thought in a more cogent compact way?

JSOP you need to re-read your posts on China. You relentlessly make broad negative statements against the country and its people, and your occasional "I'm not critical of the people" doesn't make up for your hypocritical racism.
Many a time I've asked that you explain how China is behaving any differently from other dominant powers in the last 100 years. Still waiting.

You do not make any sense at all. China's business is your business? Foolish thoughts...
