I am a 1 year member of the PIT. Anyone who criticizes a chat becasue of calls is missing the point, and shouldn't be trading... The calls at UT aren't blind triggers, there are meant to draw your attention to setups...experienced players who manage a basket typically are two steps ahead of Jay on his calls. When I joined it took a month to realize that calls are for educational purposes only. I began as instructed by Jay- "Newbies stay the hell out!" As time has worn on I settled on a basket of one stock : CHKP I traded CHKP very profitably over a period of time never really paying attention to Jays calls but applying his methods to "My" stock...ch-ching! After scalping grew boring, I turned my attention to the Methods of RAL (Russel Arthur Lockhart, Phd.) Ral is a genius, and like minds are attracted to his methods and unique perspective of markets, social, and phsycological behavior as manifested by markets...His insight and constant encouragment to think out of the Box has led to a group of people in the Ral Room that as a group bring a broad and varied insight to the floor...There is no hype in the Ral Room...but discussions abound about price/time convergence, Body Mid Points, Using 3PB in unique ways (every apply 3PB theory to government economic reports?), and yes even the location of Pluto in relation to Saturn... Much of Rals recent work (and that of his friends) has recently been focused not price but on time...as time is price in a circular cycle...without time, one cannot see the manifestation of price movement...Price is Time and vice versa. Further Ral has begun go explore the measure of Time in non constant periods... I am a profitable S & P trader today. One year ago I was a carpenter/contractor. I have known no other room but UT-PIT. Rooms arent for calls, they are for the coalition of like minds, the shareing of knowledge, observence and insight, and a medium to cultivate new ideas and help one another...
