Under pressure from the white house, Mccabe fired hours from retirement.

  2. At 50 he can just make a few million in the next decade anyway. His pension may be re-instated by the soon-to-come next administration.

Seems a Trump "always get even" thing, he is a nasty bastard who obsesses about revenge.

No doubt the upcoming interviews, book deals, and "news consultant" gigs will pay handsomely.

  4. It probably won't play well with the FBI rank and file or other civil servants for that matter. One of them getting severely punished for 'lack of candor' when the POTIS can't complete a sentence without an embellishment or lie, his own council terrified of him ever being under oath..

Roll on Stormy interview and the Republican extremists losing as many seats as possible. It is bad for democracy however they are gone too far with being two-faced slathering loonies.

The biggest success for Russia was to help pump whataboutism into the lower IQ Trump supporters. That will take a long time to leave the US culture, if ever.

McCabe might decide to get some revenge of his own. It sometimes seems the administration is trying to bait the FBI rank and file into attacking. That was a Cohen lawyer trick (Trump's mentor/friend who he abandoned when he became HIV positive).

If you don't have leverage, get the other guy to dirty himself by antagonising him.

He should be criminally charged but at least this clown wont be leaching off of the taxpayers anymore. This is great move by Trump admin. There is more swamp to drain.

  6. "The FBI’s Office of Personal Responsibility has recommended the firing of former deputy director Andrew McCabe, who is accused of serious misconduct.

The recommendation apparently resulted from a report by the Justice Department’s inspector general, which found that McCabe leaked sensitive details about the FBI’s investigation of the Clinton Foundation to a Wall Street Journal reporter and then lied about it to the IG’s office."

  8. No need to spin this. The FBI themselves want this slug out. He played partisan politics, chose sides, and now suffers the consequences. If the "rank and file" have a problem with this, their asses need to go as well. They are either above playing politics, or they're not. All of this cop hero worship needs to be earned, not given.

"The FBI’s OPR then reviewed the report and underlying documents and issued a disciplinary proposal recommending the dismissal of Mr. McCabe. Both the OIG and FBI OPR reports concluded that Mr. McCabe had made an unauthorized disclosure to the news media and lacked candor − including under oath − on multiple occasions.

"The FBI expects every employee to adhere to the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and accountability. As the OPR proposal stated, 'all FBI employees know that lacking candor under oath results in dismissal and that our integrity is our brand.'"

Integrity is their brand. Earn it bitches.

Yup, they used the same rhetoric when ousting Comey. "He used his position against Hillary! This isn't a political hit job at all see!"

Then Trump went and shit all over that charade when interviewing with Lester Holt.

Many of the these former high-ranking FBI guys become Directors of Security for large corporations earning big bucks. Don't know if McCabe is interested in this route or if all the publicity will hurt his corporate opportunity.

He may simply go the 'interviews, book deals, and "news consultant"' route for a while but that has a limited shelf life of a year or so only.
