70 years of democratic rule is why the US is a super power. 8 years of republicon rule is why the US is going to be a banana republic Bush voter much? I have a thread that delves into your neurosis.
This is part of the plan that central banks have been planning for about 5 years. They have been trying to correct the global imbalances between the US and Asian nations. Think about Paulson pressuring China to devalue the dollar and strengthen the Yuan. Since we are now in the shitstorm that they were trying to avoid, they are going to take advantage and solve the imbalances now. It may prolong the current downturn, but eventually will make the world economy sustainable for longer term growth. The US will be able to re-build a manufacturing base and actually produce something besides paper exports.
Actually when I add it all together I haven't got a clue where we are all going. I just want to be on the right side of the ride. regards f9
