  1. I just closed a butterfly in IKBR that had 5/10/5 and it only cost around $7...so that's .46 per contract.

You're ignoring fees and you're not paying $7 all in for that 5 lot (20 contracts).

Index option or Equity option? If you got an exchange rebate on equity option, that seems plausible. I don't think you could have traded 20 index options for that low of a commission. You're looking at something around 1.25/contract all in with non-commission fees.

  6. Ok index options...this was MARA. Still much cheaper than my bank. Hey what happens if you have a 16/17/18 butterfly and you let it expire with the underlying @ 16.53?

so not an index option........got it. In that case, the commissions+fees you report are plausible. It could be < $0.65/contract if your order received a liquidity rebate from the exchange.

i concluded that you can’t read.

for premium less than 5 cents, 1 contract premium max at $5, why would you want to trade that and how many contracts can you trade. for average stocks weekly, it is less than delta 10, these is no meat other than parking money to beat the money market.
