UN resolutions: Hezbollah vs Israel

  1. First cut down the personal attacks. If the truth hurts you, sorry. Don't make personal assumption about posters that you know nothing about, it only diminishes your credibility along with your reasoning.

Second, nothing wrong with the land that was bought, but that land was only a small portion of what they stole.
Show me a map of what was bought legally without force. Then show me a map of what they have occupied all together. If what they occupy is what they bought legaly then I'm all for them, otherwise, don't expect too much support.
AND, btw please don't hide behind the Israel has the right to exist. Very few dispute that for now... But having the right to exist by killing innocents and stealing their land is a different story all together.

  2. In 1947 jews owned a fairly significant amount of land in Palestine (and please keep in mind that Palestine was not a country, nor it had ever been a country before. It was an piece of land populated by Arabs and Jews). When they partitioned Palestine in 1947/1948 they created a jewish state in the area with predominantly jewish ownership of the land and arab state in the area with predominantly arab ownership of the land. No one was stealing nothing, the arabs who lived and owned property in the jewish state were supposed to retain their property and become Israeli citizens (many did). The rest is the result of wars that Israel did not start but did win.

  3. Khahaaaaaaaaaaaa! Stop it dddooo...You are killing me you clown!!

Yeah sharkbites!...Didn't you know? the handsome looking Jew came to this guy who fits walt Disney's definition of how the arab should look, you know, hook nose, evil eyes and big beard with flys flying around it and told him, I will give you 5 dinars (We didn't have dinars but just to fit the 1950s walt disney's definition) and 200 goats for your land...What do you say A"Ch"med!

A"Ch"med started with the "Ayeyeyeyeyeyeyeyeyeyeyey" (Walt Disney likes to assign different cultures with different sounds) bent down and said "Praise be to Allah...I accept"

And for dddooo, just to convince you that this is a fact...He added the "Duh" at the end of the sentence and the over used but still effective "you don't believe in Israel'r right to exist" shit!

Watch it...You are coming tooooooo close to the big "A" word

one problem for dddooo though! While they were conducting their sale transaction and while A"ch"med was praising Allah and making the above sound, the Hansom Polish and German Zionist wiped off 400 towns and villages that belonged to this man and his people!

  4. Of course the sales transactions were conducted prior to 1948, before Israel was created and no one was wiping off towns and villages. No one wiped off 400 towns and villages after 1948 either but there was a war started by arabs who refused to acept the UN resolution partitioning palestine and invaded Israel on the day it was created. People do die during wars.

The 1948 Arab-Israeli War is referred to as the "War of Independence or as the "War of Liberation" by Israelis. For Palestinians, the war marked the beginning of the events referred to as "The Catastrophe". After the United Nations partitioned the territory of the British Mandate of Palestine into two states, Jewish and Arab, the Arabs refused to accept it and the armies of Egypt, Syria, Transjordan, Lebanon and Iraq, supported by others, attacked the newly established State of Israel which they refused to recognize. It was the first in a series of open wars in the Arab-Israeli conflict. As a result, the region was divided between Israel, Egypt and Transjordan.

Feel free to read about other Arab/Israeli wars most of which were started by Arabs.

And don't forget - most of the arab world does not recognize Israel's right to exist, they support Hamas and Hezbollah who are absolutely committed to wiping Israel off the map. Israel on the other side has no intention to drive anyone into the sea and does recognize the right of other countries in the region (including Palestine) to exist.

PS Wael, you already know all of that, this post is primarily for Sharkbit's benefit as he sounds completely ignorant.

  5. A sovereign state has rights over a guerilla organization. A guerilla organization has absolutely no rights whatsoever. Should Lebananon object to any unfulfilled resolutions by Israel they would need to be in the right to do so, or in other words not harboring a terrorist organization that is molesting Israel. Kinda the same logic as assessing blame for an accident on the person who is DUI. As long as Lebanon is harboring a terrorist organization that is attacking one of their neighbors the only rights that nation is entitled to is the right to be punished for being an outlaw state sponsor of terrorism. That may be different if the struggle was between Israel and a LEGITIMATE Lebanese military but that isn't the case.

Unlike many who've been contributing to these threads, I'm neither a Jew nor a Muslim. I have no axe to grind. In fact a world absent both Jews and Muslims would be a pretty good place. That aside, Israel STOLE this land. Period. Doodoo talks about the Arabs refusing to honor the U.N. partition. First off, who the fuck was the U.N., formed just ONE YEAR before, to mandate anything. You may notice the U.K. didn't support partition. It was a ram job. So for starters one has a PERFECT right to question Israel's right to exist. However at this point that discussion should be moot. Israel as a Zionist state in some shape or form is there forever. However even though I'm not a wael apologist and I'm NO fan of Islam, his people were screwed. Just like the Indians. It's up to the world to negotiate SOLID borders with MUCH concession given to the Palestinians and with IRON CLAD military respect given to those borders. Get out of line=get bombed. Then we can move on to another sob story somewhere else.

  7. If it is not anti-semitic, then why did they slaughter so many Jews? Like you said, the Jews were not all powerful and wealthy. If I were to say that blacks have too much influence in American politics, you would be the first one on this board screaming that I am a racist.

  8. That being said, the USA STOLE the land from the Indians. Period.

  10. There were jews and arabs living on that land legally in 1947 so the land was divided between them. You have just as many reasons to say that the jews stole land from the arabs as you have reasons to claim that arabs stole land from the jews.
