The currency market reaction should tell you how significant this news is. Ie. not at all. UN is a joke outside of the security council.

  2. It wasn't Iraq, it was Iran. And they did do it. They're selling oil for Euros.

I believe Iraq tried this back in the early 90's as well.

Millions of men but how are they going to get to the US? How will they be re-supplied? Wars are more about logistics than tactics...millions of men on boats is what is called a target rich environment, there is nowhere in the sea that a troop ship can be hidden with modern satellites looking down. Of course satellites can be shot down but that is a drastic escalation that in all likelihood would lead to nuclear exchanges as one or both sides felt like they could get blindsided and get into a use it or lose it mentality.

It is true, I have read posts that include a greater level of horseshite than this particular post, however not by a great distance.

Not really sure how this became a US/China war thread, but out of curiosity, what in his post is inaccurate?

When it comes to waging war it sure looks like his entire body of knowledge on the subject is contained on a Risk board.

You care to back up any of your statements with something of substance? Or just make bad jokes?

    Already been stated.

Logistics is the ability to project power at great distances.

Just look at the Russian Navy as a prime example. The primary reason they never had a blue water carrier force was the inability to perform underway replenishment.

That's a walk in the park compared to a land invasion. Read up on the logistics behind D-Day if you still don't believe me or the previous poster.

So what are you disagreeing with? You think that the Chinese armed forces in their current state have the ability to conduct a land invasion on the other side of the globe?
