Actual journalists would have made a much more though investigation before reporting the story. They would also now be very angry at having been mislead and would be investigating just who "discovered" the "noose", who that person reported it to, how many people looked at the rope thinking it was a noose, did anyone say hey, it's just a door pulldown, if so, who gave the rebuttal that no, it's a noose, and how in the world this every became a story to begin with. That's what an actual news organization would do.
nah, that's what a gossip rag/tabloid would do. Dropping a non-story after the FBI's statement is what a journalist would do. If there was any merit to the story, sure keep digging.
No, that's what the "if true" media does when another fabrication goes south. They simply move on to the next lie and hope it has some legs.
For all we know, the journalists did their homework but chose not to burn the dumbass that called the cop by reporting it.
Then they are not doing their job because that is a dumbass, or group of dumbasses that deserve to be burned given all the unrest in our current environment. Could even be worth criminal investigation. Had it been true it would continue to be a national story. The fact that it isn't is a national story too. Was this an innocent mistake or a lie fabricated with intent and malice to stoke racial unrest?
