The CME Group is so full of $hit it's not even funny. They should be investigated instead of Nav. They know damn well about all of the spoofing and yet they do not modify their order and matching engine to reduce or eliminate it ? Terrible. This is what happens when you get too big. If I were the CFTC, I would move to split-up the CME Group to encourage more competition.
Omigosh, MBAGearHead was just so erratic....and he kept losing money....year after year. It was painful to follow his blog. He seems to be constantly changing his "system". Look at his 2014 equity curve - down $20k !! How can he pay his bills ? http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1sw8VmG3G2w/VKQmh5M3x2I/AAAAAAAACpM/Kod5ekZ_iSo/s1600/Equity2014.png
For a while he really killed it in 2007, must have been a lucky streak. He disappeared quietly from ET. I didn't know he has a blog now.
The CME sure is to blaim for negligence, but the root of their apathy is big money profiting from it. If they didn't, the CME and other exchanges would have tackled spoofing and frontrunning a long time ago. You can't count on politicians to do anything about it, they don't have the slightest grasp of what is going on. Look at Merkel's dumb proposal for a trading tax!
I wonder what is happening with this case against the cme. http://mobile.reuters.com/article/idUSBREA3D16Z20140414 http://www.prweb.net/Redirect.aspx?...vZG9jdW1lbnRzL0hGVC1CcmFtYW4tZmlsZWQtLnBkZg==
