Come on now Canadians outlive Americans by four years across the board. In the US, many would have to ask how can they pay for any of that.
He's just trolling and trying to trigger anyone. Similar to others I have on ignore who have done the same. Yet, Trump admits to "a little pain" for Americans from his tariff war by saying it will be worth it and America will be richer. In contrast, Canada is saying they will take care of their citizens against any of Trump's agenda while it looks to other markets just like Europe and Australia. It's a tough time for these trolls in there animosity towards Canada instead of looking at the guy they voted for. Canada has lost 33,000 jobs while the United States... The White House, citing a media report, on Thursday said 200,000 federal workers had been laid off since Trump took office and put Tesla CEO Musk at the helm of the cost-cutting Department of Government Efficiency tasked with thinning the ranks of government workers. DOGE itself has not provided its own figures. More than 75,000 federal workers have agreed to a form of buyout called deferred retirement, but they will remain on government payrolls until later this year. In all, over 260,000 federal workers have been fired, taken buyouts or retired early, according to a Reuters tally. https://www.reuters.com/business/wo...nt-drops-again-doge-cuts-stack-up-2025-05-02/ The above numbers do not lie...the United States is suffering so much more than Canada just because of Trump's and Musk agenda. These are job loss numbers not because of a "tariff war". Simply, Americans have more fear (setting records in the Consumer Confidence reports) right now than Canadians. That fear is now being transformed into ANGER at town hall meetings. They're aiming their anger at their Republican congressional members about Trump's domestic agenda alone against Americans. In the meantime, the United States and China are currently in Geneva in talks about Trump's tariff war. Trump has already back tracked. Trump is now saying he's lowering the tariffs down to 80%. Bessent has urged Americans at Trump's request to not expect a major trade deal out of the Geneva meetings. Trump is a coward because after he backtracked to China and lowered the tariff threats to 80%...he's saying it's Bessent decision as if Trump doesn't want the blame if/when the trade talks go south. It will be Bessent fault in pushing Trump's tariffs on China. By the way, Canada and Australian recently had political elections. Carney/Canada and Albanese/Australia won because of Trump's foreign policy with tariff wars has destabilize the world. Russia and Ukraine are still bombing each other, Israel still firing missiles, Pakistan and India are on the verge of War and the U.S. has not disclose we have some from our special military units on the ground in Pakistan... This is the reality for Americans and how do they react? They troll at Elitetrader.com instead of calling out Trump for his bullshit in destabilizing the U.S. economy and destabilizing the world with his foreign policy. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that Trump is now blaming all of the above on the Biden administration. Simply, when shit hits the fan, it's Biden's fault. Yet, if there's positive news, it's because of Trump and he wants the credit. Yep, as predicted before Trump's inauguration, the Trump administration is making deals with pharmaceutical companies who are investing billions of dollars in America...the same companies who promised to do such "before" Trump won his 2nd term...the same companies that are involved in vaccines. Yeah, all the bullshit about the deadly vaccines, people suddenly dropping dead, causing autism...we barely here anything about that any more. Trump wins a 2nd term and it's a miracle...Americans are no longer suddenly dropping dead, Kennedy has not found any evidence of deadly vaccines after gaining access to the data. In fact, Trump is now saying that children in America should get vaccinated because of the Measles outbreak. I'll give Trump credit for finally admitting the truth in a recent interview about vaccines. Regardless, elect a clown...these trolls can not bitch about the circus they just bought tickets to a shit show. Instead, they choose to troll Canada because they know life up here is better than it is in the United States. Yep, Trump is back to saying Canada is a beautiful country with great people during his first meeting with Mark Carney. Last month, Trump called Canada a nasty place with nasty people going into Canada's election. wrbtrader
My spouse and I are U.S. military veterans. We didn't like the direction the United States was going towards and we decided to raise a family outside of the United States. We looked at several countries to migrate too and "life expectancy" was one of the first variables we looked at. Canadians live longer than Americans per capita. For example, in 2023, the average life expectancy in Canada was 83.9 years for females and 79.5 years for males, while in the U.S., it was 81.1 years for females and 75.8 years for males. Life expectancy wasn't the only piece to the puzzle to aid our decision making about where to raise a family so that our children and us have a good quality of life when we left the U.S. military. With that said and back to what this thread is about before the troll showed up. It's very simple, the U.S. automakers do not like it. They say it will be "harmful" to them and Americans. https://www.reuters.com/business/au...omakers-blast-trump-uk-trade-deal-2025-05-08/ wrbtrader
Ultimately the tariff will be paid by the producer. At times shared by the producer and importers. The myth is that it will be paid by the consumer. That is a concept that most are ignorant of and instead they accept and embrace the storyline spouted by the mainstream media and all the confused anti Trump and anti tariff people. These people and economist have no true understanding how tariffs work. That is why all the countries are squealing because they KNOW in the back of the deepest darkest corriders of their mind that they will be paying the price if they want access to our markets. Otherwise, they would just carry on like normal if the US consumer is going to pay the bill. It would be of NO CONCERN TO THEM. See they (exporters) know that they will have to lower their profit margin to have future access to our markets and on top of that they will have to give us more access to their markets. Which is exactly what the UK is going to have to accept and do as will China, Canada, and all the others that have benn leeching off us and shutting us out of THEIR markets with other trade barriers then invent. Now understand if they want "0" tariffs then move their business to USA. Then we will be the producers...have the jobs..and the money. Of course they too will get a slice as their businesses here sell to our consumers and exports to others. Finally, those that refuse to move manufactoring to USA but still want access to our markets then they will have to absorb the tariffs thus creating revenue for US government and IF enough refuse then we can create the external tax service and maybe do away with the internal tax service. Got it now?
Your claims are laughable. And easily debunked with just a little bit of fact checking from reputable sources.
Of course the UK came out ahead in the Trump Art of The Deal negotiations. The U.K. Trade Deal Screws American Consumers Residents of the United Kingdom will get lower tariffs, while Americans are stuck paying higher ones. https://reason.com/2025/05/09/the-u-k-trade-deal-screws-american-consumers/
Speaking of US auto companies like gm and Ford i can almost guarantee that he will step back and give them a free card to not have to worry about bringing manufacturing back to the US. He is going to backtrack on many of his ideas because in a few weeks when all the numbers start showing how chaotic and how badly tariffs are affecting global economic output he will step back and change his entire stance... He just bowed to China by being the first to make a move when he clearly stated he wouldn't budge on any lower tariff...what does he do, starts to offer 80% tariffs from 145%....China is winning that's why he had to make the first move. Haaa
