Since all their songs sound identical, they could have just rereleased an older album with a new name and no one would have been the wiser. Music critics however would have swooned, just like they do for Springsteen's tired act.
I can't watch more than 30 secs. of these opinion vids. Makes me want to stab my ear drums. What's the cliff notes?
Never liked U2. The good news is... "Toby Keith doesn't give a damn what the haters think" Toby is bad ass. http://www.tmz.com/2017/01/14/toby-keith-donald-trump-inauguration-performance/ start at 1:15 The horns are a nice add to this song. Love it.
Old U2 was outstanding. 1992's Achtung Baby is also fantastic. I don't have to align myself with their political leanings to appreciate that they were once great musicians.
I liked old u2 as well. Bono's bullshit really bothered me after a while. Just as I would feel like a fool for seeing matt damon or ben affleck or many others in the theaters... I would feel I was trolled if I ever purchased any more u2 music. his face sort of forms and I see him lecturing about taxes while hiding his money in tax havens. I wish he did not ruin his music for me.
