  1. Clinton ,Obama and even Biden left office with a smaller deficit than they came into office with.

Reagan,Bush and Trump all left office with the deficit higher than when they took office, much higher.

  2. BTW,wasn't DOGEsupposed to cut spending yet they have cut less than 100 billion while Trump is about to add 4.5 trillion:rolleyes:

Actually by most calculations, DOGE actually cost $135 Billion -- despite Musk's claims it will save $160 Billion.

I thought you would be against raising taxes rather than cutting them. Is your actual viewpoint that the federal government should be raising taxes? Possibly by not continuing the TCJA tax rates beyond 2026 and not passing other tax cuts found in the big beautiful bill?

I'm for fiscal responsibility and being retired and living off my savings would prefer not to see the debt inflated away, which will happen if the national debt continues to grow.

Well, we agree on the reality that the federal government needs to raise taxes in order to get the federal budget in alignment. Admittedly this is not a popular perspective.

  8. And I remember when the ketamine fiend said he would cut 2 trillion.

  9. This should be higher on your priorities list than racism.

Biden didn't try to raise taxes, either.
